Location is safe and close to restaurants and cafes. The checking was fast and excellent breakfast included.
We booked one night with Expedia to pay when we check in and they charged my credit card before we got there. I was a little surprised, but more surprise and then a little upset because they make me pay again when we got there, and the explanation was that the other money was a hold and that was going to be refunded within 3-4 business days. The money was refunded maybe about 5 days later, and this did not affect me at all, but it can be important when you travel with a budget and you have to double pay for your stay. This never happened to me with Expedia in the past, and this was the first hotel of three that I booked with Expedia in this trip, and I booked all of did them with the same pay when stay, and it only happened here. It had nothing to do with money on hold for incidental charges. I'm not sure who policy is this for one night, Expedia or the Hotel, but it is important to note for any future traveler. We did not like the fact, that they give and old big key for the room, that you have to leave at the front desk every time you go out and pick it up when you return no matter what time it is. This is very unusual for this days when you stay in a hotel. We've been in Paris a few times and we all heard about the size of the hotels rooms, but this was smaller than the average. In conclusion in the overall I won't rule out staying here again.
