Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, our cozy suite is the perfect home base whether you're here for romance, adventure, or business. Just a 4-minute drive from Peterborough's hospital, the Art Gallery, Cineplex Odeon, and the vibrant downtown restaurant district, you'll also find Lansdowne Street close by with the LCBO, supermarkets, popular restaurant chains, and a Starbucks to fuel your day. We're so glad you're here â we hope you love it as much as we do!
A Few Important Notes
This is a completely smoke-free property â smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, indoors or outdoors. For safety reasons, candles and open flames are also not allowed. This suite is designed for a maximum of 2 guests, is not suitable for children, and we are unable to accommodate pets.
Meet Oscar!
You may be greeted by the sound of barking when you come and go â that's just Oscar, our friendly German Shepherd who lives upstairs! He likes to announce arrivals and departures, but don't let that startle you. Beyond that, he's a gentle, quiet soul and you'll hardly know he's there.
Arriving & Getting Settled
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. One parking spot is available for you on the driveway â please note that overnight street parking is not permitted in this area. You'll find your key waiting for you in the dish inside your locked space.
Your Space
This suite comfortably accommodates a maximum of 2 guests and features a beautiful queen-sized Murphy bed that tucks away neatly to give you more living space during the day. The suite is wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect place to truly unwind and recharge.
The Zen Garden & Back Yard
Step outside and enjoy your very own private zen garden â a peaceful little sanctuary all to yourselves. The back yard also features a barbecue, perfect for firing up a delicious meal on a warm evening, including any curries or spiced dishes you'd like to enjoy out in the fresh air. This is your space to relax, breathe, and soak up the outdoors.
The Living Room
Sink into the sofa and stream your favourite shows or movies on Netflix via Apple TV. Just pick up the Apple remote and you're all set. When the mood calls for it, sip a glass of wine beneath the elegant crystal chandelier and let the evening slow right down.
The Kitchen
Channel your inner chef in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with everything you need to prepare a gourmet feast. The kitchen features a dishwasher for easy clean-up, and the dining table is set with beautiful dinnerware along with wine and beer glasses â perfect for a lovely meal in. When cooking, please plug in the large fan to keep the air circulating. Please note that curries and strong ethnic spices are not permitted for cooking inside the unit as the owner has an allergy â however, you are more than welcome to fire up those flavours on the BBQ in the back yard! We appreciate your understanding.
The Bathroom
Fresh towels and facecloths are waiting for you in the bathroom. Please be careful in the shower, as the water runs very hot â take a moment to adjust the temperature before stepping in. The blow dryer is on top of the washer/dryer whenever you need it.
Laundry
You'll find a washer and dryer in your bathroom for your convenience. Laundry may be done once per week, after 7:00 p.m. only, and please bring your own laundry soap. If you're staying with us for 7 days or longer, we'll be happy to launder your sheets complimentary after the first week. Should you need any additional laundry done, we offer a wash-and-dry service for $20 per load â just let us know and we'll take care of it for you!
Wifi & TV
To connect to the internet, look for the network called Shari's Bell Network and use the password Elephant22! For the TV, use the large black remote to power it on. Regular television is available through the Bell Fibre app.
Window Coverings
If you prefer a darker space, there are two pieces of fabric available to cover the windows. These are easy to put up and take down whenever you'd like a little extra privacy or to block out the light for a better sleep.
Safety & Comfort
Your comfort and safety are our priority. A fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink, a fire blanket is mounted on the wall, and a first aid kit sits above the washer/dryer. If a fuse happens to blow, just reach out and we'll get it sorted right away. On cooler summer evenings, there's a portable heater available if the space gets a little chilly.
