The premium king room riverside was clean. The vinyl flooring was cold underfoot. Arrived early as it was a snow storm Sunday. We were hoping for an early check-in. NOT… Place was busy and seriously under staffed… our 4pm check-in became an actual after 530pm. We checked twice…2pm then again at 330pm… Our anticipated walkout room view was hampered by darkness… The swim-out Pool was full of leaves… understandable since it was the first day of snow but we were there after 9am. Water temperatures were on the cooler side… even in the hot tub! My thoughts were we should have brought a Mr Clean magic eraser. Management should put extra effort into maintaining their big draw!!! We stood in the dry heat sauna to thaw… Our anticipated Ontario retirement tour was a let down… I know Canada can do better!!!

*this isn’t a review but a concern. I I called Holiday to confirm my stay. After the confirmation, the receptionist at Holiday Inn transferred to a Holiday Inn rewards, which I’m not part of in the end it turned out to be a concern because the man on the other line asked for my credit card. I hung up. I I am not part of holiday in rewards, but I was transferred there and they got my name wrong my information wrong and then they asked me for how much money my husband and I make a year which I didn’t answer. It was a scam, but what was so odd is that the holiday in reception transferred me to this place I wanted to point out this concern.

It was pet friendly but fee was 75$ per night which is very expensive more than average. Room was decent, clean enough but the whole atmosphere was more of a motel than hotel. I found it way too experlnsice for what it was.

Our dog also loved it. We got a room on the ground floor, right off our patio that led to a grassy courtyard. The pool was excellent. Warm, indoor outdoor. The stay was excellent.

The service was absolutely amazing! Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is a little old and they’ve done a decent job of giving it a facelift, but the age does show through in certain ways.

The staff here were excellent and worked very hard to make sure that our stay was great. The neighbourhood at night felt a bit unsafe, but the hotel was clean, and the staff were very helpful and kind
