Locked out

The lock to my room broke. I was without all of my stuff for over 4 hours. It was very disappointing that I missed a dinner reservation. They had to drill through the lock in order to open the door.

I was there for two nights and had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy, and the room was clean and well appointed for my stay. I had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was tasty. I liked having easy parking since I was in/out of the room during my stay.

I’m very disappointed with the experience my disabled mother had at this hotel. She had two rooms reserved and was able to check into one, but the second room wasn’t ready at the time. Later, she got a call saying the second room was ready. Since she had already shown her ID and card just 20 minutes earlier, she asked if my brother could bring them down to finish the check-in for the second room on her behalf. The staff refused, even though they had just seen her ID and had confirmed her identity during the first check-in. Instead, they made her walk all the way back down to the front desk, which caused her to become short of breath and left her in pain. There was no attempt to accommodate her disability or offer a more thoughtful solution, despite the clear and simple alternative she suggested. To make matters worse, I asked for a manager to contact me about the issue and still haven’t heard back. It was a frustrating experience that showed a lack of compassion and awareness around accessibility needs. I expected better.
