Very welcoming people, great location, great hotel
The family who own this hotel is very nice, they gave us really god tips for our holiday. The beach is at 10 minutes walk. The breakfast is good.
You have a kitchen to cook. The bedroom and the bathroom are very clean (hot shower). Many activities around the hotel (surf lesson, skydiving...).
Thank you Indra Inn for the welcoming !
We had a wonderful stay at the inn. Mathew and Natalya were great hosts and directed us to good local guides and restaurants. Our room was very basic (may not have been the best in the inn) but very clean and adequate. Very good value for the money. The sign says good vibrations and that was very true as we quickly felt at home with our hosts and the other guests.
Mathew and Nathalia were wonderful hosts. They spent a lot of time answering our questions and directing us to activities that suited our needs. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was served every morning and was delicious. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach and walking distance to several restaurants and a small shop. There is also a great surf shop that offers equipment and lessons nearby. I would definitely recommend the Indra Inn to anyone staying in Playa Grande.
This lodge looks great from the outside but its disgustingly dirty from inside. They have centipedes all over the floor, spiders everywhere from under the sink, on the curtains, on the bed and scorpion behind the bed. They need to really step up their cleanliness. The staff was alright, a little helpful but very mean and not understanding when we didn't want to live in a bug infested room and risk getting bit by the scorpion. The guy in charge said they get scorpions often and people get bitten all the time. Im sorry but i dont like putting my family and my life at risk to get bitten by a poisonous scorpion. I understand its Costa Rica and having a few bugs is normal but its NOT normal to have those bugs in the room. Im playing to stay inside the lodge or I would camp in the rainforest. Book rooms at your own risk.
The hosts Matt and Natalia were extremely helpful in providing information on things to do, places to eat. They made me feel comfortable in a foreign surrounding.
Incredible - we were sad to leave! The entire place feels like home, as this family run business makes a point of it to make sure you are welcomed with a smile. Would love to return one day!
Matt and Natalia are welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The area is incredible and you have all you need with walking distance. I will stay here again if I get back to the area
We really enjoyed our stay here. Nothing was too much trouble and it really felt like home. The staff became friends and were very helpful in making suggestions about good food, activities and life in general.
The rooms are decent, comfy, and clean. There is hot water and a good wifi signal. The hotel is in a walking distance to the beach. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
If you are in the area, go and visit Granada and Ometepe Island, in Nicaragua. You won't regret. We did it! The owner gave us the info and explained us how to get there.
We did not try the breakfast because we left early.
The only thing is that we had to wait around 4 hours to check in, but we walked around the area.
I recommend this hotel.
Playa Grande is a beautiful beach and Indra Inn is a wonderful place to stay.
Very nice, comfortable and peaceful accommodations. Free wifi, breakfast, parking and help with tours and activities. A very short walk to the beach, surf shops, activities, and restaurants. Highly recommended.
Nice place to stay with amazing owners and the cutest little boy. The breakfast is outstanding! The bed could use a little padding and a blanket. An oversheet isn't enough for the night.
I recently stayed at the Indra Inn for a total of 9 nights as a solo traveller and I didn't feel lonely at all.
The owners Matt and Natalia will help you feel welcomed as soon as you step through the entrance and are always willing to go out of their way to assist you with whatever you may need. The room was clean and the property very well maintained.
The inn is also very close to the beach (around a 10 min walk) and there are some good restaurants close by that offer great food for a decent price.
All in all, it was a great experience and I will definitely go back for my next trip in Playa Grande, if only to see Marshmallow again, the princess of the Indra inn.
Wow... didn't know what to expect heading to the coast, or Costa Rica in general, but the Indra Inn really took the cake. Matt and Natalia were so amazingly nice and friendly, true to form creating a communal environment where we spoke regularly with them, their adorable son and other guests throughout the day and our entire stay. While Playa Grande is much quieter than Tamarindo (a wonderfully long beach walk away), there are plenty of places to eat, local surf shops and tours (which you can also arrange at Indra) and the Inn offers a homemade "typical" breakfast with great hours for late sleepers.
