Fantastic Hotel on the harbour, gorgeous views, very comfortable rooms with a pillow menu to ensure you are even more comfortable! Amazing breakfast, best one we had in the Azores. Rooms are very luxurious, the only thing I would say is that the bathroom can be confusing as the doors are all reflective like a mirror. The bar was a little slow service but lovely spot up there. Thank you

Very friendly, great pool area overlooking the Atlantic, great spa and good gym facilities. Breakfast is superb with all sorts of eggs, baked goods, fruits and coffee. Staff really goes all out for guests.

Amazing location, amenities and dining

I was initially unsure about the hotel location (in front of the marina, with a casino adjacent to it) based on pictures alone. However, I must say that the hotel was great, location was excellent, it has an amazing rooftop bar and houses one of the best restaurant in the entire island. Truly great.

We were a group of 14 people staying at this hotel, which can be challenging in many ways. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating to our needs. I loved the amenities of the hotel and the thoughtful aspects like sun hats and tote bags in the room, as well as the turn down service with delicious chocolate chip cookies. Carina was over the top helpful to us. From providing a walking tour, to helping arrange dinners and excursions, to providing transportation for our group, she was our go-to woman and could not have been more pleasant despite having to deal with a huge group of guests. She is what every employer should be thankful to have in an employee and is a huge asset to the Octant brand. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

One word, outstanding! The staff from the front desk to room cleaners and everyone in between were so friendly and helpful. Your day starts with an exceptional breakfast spread - I have yet to see a better one in Europe. The hotel is situated on the marine close by he old town, with plenty of dining options near by. Ending your day either at rooftop pool or spa - complete with steam and sauna facilities relaxes those muscles after your day exploring the island. Special thank you are to Diogo at the Experiences desk for taking the time to help plan my adventures.

The Octant is a nice hotel, the rooms are lovely. The balcony of the room is very comfortable with a view of the marina. The rooftop bar is a big plus! There is a pool and bar service. The valet is very fast to get your car when called, and they have a pillow menu which is fantastic! Turn-down service at night brings a cookie for each guest. The breakfast buffet is great with a wide variety and an omelet station. The negatives: the air-conditioning took about 24-hours to cool the room, the bathroom area looks beautiful, and seems at first to be a great idea, but it isn't quite as functional as it could be. I know this sounds vague, but you would have to experience it to fully understand. We stayed at a nearby hotel that we preferred (except that there isn't a rooftop there). We just didn't think the value was there.

Was on our honey moon and had multiple occasions of house keeping entering room with only one knock or no knocking on our door at all while we were sleeping. Removed our DND one night from our door knob and walked in next morning without knocking. Woke us up at 8:30AM with vacuuming and room cleaning. Very disappointed as this was part of our honey moon and is supposedly a 5 star hotel.
