I spent 6 nights here in early April for a solo trip to Iceland. This was a great location for walking all over Reykjavik. Plenty of shops and places to eat all along Laugavegur. The Jorgensen kitchen and bar was wonderful. I enjoyed my lamb dinner there better than at Dill (a Michelin star restaurant down the street). Breakfast had a lot of options. All of the spaces were clean, quiet and had plenty of amenities. I didn't make time to enjoy the spa, but I will next time. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Clean and great location. Small parking so we weren’t able to park in the lot, but they gave us complimentary spa access which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Overall a great stay!
Overall, the hotel was really nice. I absolutely loved the spa! The room was super cozy, and the bed was comfy. The only issue was the bathroom. It smelled terribly like sewage. They said they were sending someone up the next day, but nothing happened. When I eventually had one of the people from the front desk come up and smell it so she understood for sure, she apologized, brought some bathroom spray and ticket for 2 drinks at the bar. She said she would have someone check it out the next day, but I was already checking out.

Reykjavík Paradise!
I stayed here with my sister and we loved our stay! We were in Reykjavik for only one day and Midgardur made it really welcoming. They gave us a free drink voucher upon arrival and a breakfast pass as well which was delicious. We were able to try the spa and it was serene! Also very close to the shopping street, super walkable to shops & food! This is my second time staying here after visiting with my boyfriend a couple years ago and I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing breakfast
The location of this hotel is stellar. We also LOVED the breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were comfortable, but we didn't love how open to the bedroom the bathroom was- not a lot of privacy. Luckily there were some private toilets in the lobby we could use. I would highly recommend this hotel.

In front of bus stop 13 for airport transfer and tours. Several restaurants nearby. Very clean and modern. Good buffet breakfast but it would have been nice to have coffee available outside of the breakfast hours. We got locked out of our safe but the front desk staff responded immediately and fixed the issue. We paid for the spa upgrade and enjoyed the hot tubs, but the gym was rather small and dark being in the basement.
