"The staff was lovely. The mattress was comfortable. There were a few issues with our room. The sink wasn’t clean when we arrived. Could have been a backup? The door handle for the cabinet under the sink fell off in my hand. It would be nice if the front doors had an automatic option for opening as it is challenging to enter when your hands are full."

"We stayed for 4 nights with our young children. I booked it because of the kitchenette—I really needed a fridge and freezer for the baby milk and food, and that was great. The spacious room was also helpful. The room itself, while fine for our needs, needs some TLC. The bathroom wallpaper was stained, there were rust stains around the shower, the microwave didn’t work and no one came to look at it after I called to report it until we reported it a second time. In the end, the outlet just needed to be reset, but the front desk man didn’t know this when I first called and the maintenance guy wasn’t in, so it took two days to push a button on an outlet. We couldn’t get the room temperature to a comfortable level, it fluctuated between too hot and too cold. The racks that hold the dishes in the kitchenette were also dusty. We could’ve really used blackout curtains on the window. The room itself was noisy. I could hear our neighbors (and I imagine they could hear my children) and I heard screaming and profanity down outside the window one night at 11 pm despite being on the 4th floor. I was also surprised they didn’t give us any new towels when they cleaned the room. Overall the experience was fine and I’d choose it again for the fridge, since we needed that, but there could be some improvements. "

"This is our go to place when visiting our grandkids. Clean and the king suite gives us room to relax. The breakfast is good hot selections that vary by the day. There is staff right there to help keep things clean and help with any questions we may have. It is just a refreshing take on handling your customers with love and respect. I do not see that at every hotel. Kudos to Rockaway Fairfield Inn & Suites. We will definitely be back!"

"I have stayed at Hyatt Hotels in the past with the confidence that this chain is well maintained, however this Hyatt in Paramus NJ was definitely the exception. From the moment I walked in I was unpleasantly surprised to see the por quality of this particular hotel. The lobby doesn’t look like one, its a counter with a cash register where food is sold, the carpet in the entrance is super dirty, almost like the ones in a car mechanic shop. The hotel rooms are clean but outdated, lacking amenities, and the breakfast was not too good. There was a hair on the waffle station spoon rest. I will re-consider staying at this chain from now on. "
