I HAVE GONE TO HELL
Pros:It seemed fairly clean, and room was quaint.
Cons:HELLO! Mngement.
Location:Lompoc, CA. My boyfriend lives there.
I realized two seconds too late that this was the same motel that gave me such heart-ache a year previously, refusing to even consider or negotiate any form of negotiations when I went to take my post-surgerical (from cancer!) to our reserved room and were unable to get there because of a three hour holiday parade! So, after a nice night of slumber and a lovely desk clerk, I asked to speak to the mgr re what I felt were out-of- step and line policies with every other motel. She wouldn't make eye contact, walked away while I spoke, lied to me about the other motels (ah, mama didn't raise no fool; I did my research!) and refused to give me her first and last name.
We left but I was reminded about a receipt by my boyfriend so went back to get it only to be told I can't have one? I have never left a motel/hotel without one in my life so when I told her I wanted one, she was again, rude but this time agitated, loud, bothered and at a new level of rude. Like a 51/50. She threatens to call the cops/911 and points to the cameras and sound. I am like please do. YOU ARE ON camera, too and I have done nothing wrong. Before the police roll up, SHE LEAVES!!! So we talk to them and apologize for wasting their time.

Filthy and Scary
Filthy accommodations. The bathroom was not clean upon our arrival. The hairs of the previous guest we all over the shower wall and bathtub floor. There were water droplets and steam in the bathroom from a recent shower. The vanity had a layer of grime and dust and the faucet was still wet with soap scum on both handles. Carpets were not vacummed (again--layer of fine dust and debris). I can accept old furniture which has been dinged up with use over the years as this is a budget inn but cleanliness is a dealbreaker. Another very disappointing item is that Travelocity indicates that this motel is 7.8 miles away from Santa Maria and is actually over 30 miles. We chose this location based on that representation since hotels were booked in Santa Maria where our daughter had a softball tournament that weekend. Either the hotel or Travelocity got that distance wrong. Needs to be accurate for customers who are booking accomodations.
