Place was AMAZING- we had a family reunion here and it was a great place for the whole family- my grama is 96 and not able to go to the beach- but her and her 98 year old brother could hang out very comfortably with a great veiw of the ocean- taht alone was worth it.. but there was so many other great things- thank you for having us- we won’t forget it

The location was amazing. We were right next to the beach and close to some great surfing spots. I thought we were out of the craziness of downtown Santa Cruz and it was very peaceful. We use the roof deck a lot which an amazing view and everything was supplied for us, including coffee.

This property had the charm of a Victorian Beach cottage with the convenience of a modern, well equipped kitchen with lots of extras supplied like paper products, spices, etc. The rooftop patio gave spectacular views. Bedrooms were comfortable. The “mermaid” themed decor was delightful! Extremely well located, steps to beach, short walk to Starbucks and Live Oak farmers market. Lots of beach equipment and games. We had a great time!

Quintessential California beach House!

Four adults and two children under 10 had a blast at this great beach house located steps away from the beach in Santa Cruz area. Very convenient very laid-back and very fun. Flew kites, boggie boarded, grilled out, and had many seal and otter sightings. Sunsets and wine on roof deck. Great stay and owners touched base to be sure all was good!

Rented this charming beach cottage for my nephew’s graduation. It was perfect. Hosted 2 dinners at the home and everyone loved the house. The home is bigger than it appears with a large living room and a large family room. Plus it has an incredible roof top deck. The location was also ideal being only a house or two away from the beach.

Family Easter getaway

We enjoyed the close proximity and access to the beach, but hanging out on the deck was the highlight. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The mermaid counting challenge was a fun little activity for the girls. The Chardonnay was a nice surprise. Thank you.

Hidden gem in Santa Cruz

Our stay at La Sirena was wonderful. It’s a great property- quaint and vintage with the right updates to make it livable for a whole family. The location is amazing - it’s clearly a favorite access point for local surfers and beachcombers. It was also central for a. Umber of day trips to Monterey, Carmel, and San Jose. There was a local power outage during our stay, and the owners were super communicative throughout. The only thing that would have made the stay in A+ plus would be a few minor updates to finicky toilet handles, and a slow water heater. Otherwise, well worth the trip!

Fabulous place and location

From the street it's an adorable Victorian. Inside, a large lovely home with so many beautiful decorations, especially the wooded mermaids. Then you go up to the top deck and Wow, just Wow! The beautiful beach almost feels like a private club, with only a few tourists and mostly locals. We had a wonderful time.

Peace & Tranquility at the Beach

La Sirena provided just the answer to such a crazy world! Growing up in Santa Cruz was a blessing though I had moved away in 1990. Rarely visiting in the years since we had a large family gathering to attend & I wanted my family to experience the ocean way of life I grew up with, La Sirena provided it. The song of the waves does wonders for your heart & soul. Waking up for coffee & reading a book sitting in a chair watching the ocean never gets old. oh, & if you like mermaids this is your place! Nautical decor & old fashioned beach cottage charm, all within steps of the sand.

This place was amazing! It is located near the beach which is a close 30 second walk. The views are unbeatable from the top deck. It was the perfect place for two families with kids ages 5 to 9 years old. There was plenty of room for all! Check in process was super easy and parking in front of the house was perfect for our two vehicles. We highly recommend and will stay again!

Peaceful and relexing

The house has lots of personality and the kitchen is modern and well stocked. The homeowners are especially responsive and kind in the communication. We enjoyed proximity to the beach which was fun for surfing and boogie boarding and the walk to Pleasure Point for good, casual food was fun and easy. I would highly recommend this listing.
