The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the art in the halls and the room, as it was Saratoga Springs themed and fun. The room was quiet, clean, well-regulated temperature-wise. The only reason I gave the hotel four rather than five stars was the breakfast. They had numerous choices but the cooked items were barely edible. The omelets were velveeta-ish cheese wrapped in powdered eggs. The potatoes were undercooked enough to be hard. The sausage was pale as if it had been steamed or boiled rather than baked or panfried. It was convenient not to have to get breakfast elsewhere but the food was poor even for a mid-range hotel breakfast.

My room had mold in the showers, cracked walls and the hotel was sold out this weekend so I had no choice but to stay there. Every morning, I woke up congested. The mattress was soft and I am used to a firm mattress because of my back so, yes, I was miserable. I took pictures of the mold and cracks.

When we arrived the shower had not been cleaned. There were several long dark hairs in it. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly, but he said our room number out loud on two separate occasions, which is a safety concern for women traveling alone.

This was our second stay at The Hotel Saratoga. We were impressed with the Staff from the moment we entered, every person stop what they are doing to greet you and see if they can be of assistance. Our room exceeded our expectations (we like the first visit room the best) The breakfast was a treat, Jana was extremely efficient and very personable. Keep up the good work!

The dog run trash was filled to the brim, needed to be emptied. Shower basin had pink mold, needed to be foamed and cleaned better.

I can’t rate on the quality of the stay. All I can do is rate on the inability to understand extreme circumstances. We spent time, well into the night at the ER due to my son being injured in a hockey game…possibly ending his season. At the time, my son’s well being, paperwork, and managing a family on hold, was occupying 100% of my attention. After a long evening at the ER and 1.5hr drive home, I emailed the hotel, letting them know we had to cancel our trip due to these unforeseen circumstances, and I was hoping for a refund. It was denied as we had passed the cancellation deadline. I didn’t get the insurance…that’s on me. But I would hope a multimillion dollar company would overlook a paragraph of written policy, in exchange for understanding that some extreme situations arise…to which, the cost of accommodations are nearly imperceivable.
