When amazing historical houses like this exist, I truly have no idea how someone would prefer to stay at a chain hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the property felt incredibly homey, and you’re walking distance to many of the awesome entertainment options in Savannah. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know that passes through and can’t speak highly enough about this location!

This was my second stay at Godley Manor which is an old mansion renovated into single rooms with private baths. It is family owned and in a lovely central location a couple blocks from Forsythe Park, restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms are well equipped with a mini fridge, updated bathrooms and antique furniture that matches the time period of the home. There’s a nice little continental breakfast and small kitchen for coffee tea and snacks at any time. Don’t miss the open art/ market in Forsythe Park Sat morning for great coffee and truly unique artsy souvenirs. The staff is great- they gave lovely recommendations of places to eat, they had complimentary umbrellas to borrow and were helpful and kind every step of the way.
