Come visit Hanford & Hinds Cottage!
Hanford & Hinds Cottage was built in 1916. It sits in the desirable Belvidere neighborhood of West Seattle. 25 minutes to downtown Seattle and 20 minutes to the airport.
.
The Cottage has everything you'll need and more! Linens, towels, plates, utensils, pots & pans. Off street parking in a 2 car driveway. Internet/firestick/DVD player. Not sure what you want to do? We have maps and books of the area for visitors.
The main cottage is a two bedroom home with a King bed and a second bedroom with 2 twin futons.
The bathroom features a heated tile floor, tub and shower.
The living room offers a cozy place to relax, with a gas fireplace, reading lights, and a flat screen TV. Our large kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware.
The backyard hosts a cafe table with sun-umbrella, a gas fire pit, a gas BBQ. A shed stocked with bicycles, tennis rackets, beach towels and umbrella.

West Seattle has many venues to enjoy including stunning views of the city and the Olympic Mountains. sandy Alki Beach, The Junction Town Center which features some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, bike shops and destinations of delight...too many to list all here. Find a list of our favorite spots in the welcome book on the cottage entry table. Metropolitan Market (a wonderful European 'experience'), PCC Market, Safeway, Starbucks, Trader Joe's are all grocery stores within walking distance. Enjoy a flick at historic Admiral Movie Theater. In addition there are also dozens of popular restaurants nearby to choose from.

Hiawatha park is 2 blocks away if you feel like jogging, playing tennis (rackets provided in shed) going to the kiddie park or wading pool. We have 4 adult bikes and helmets for your use, as well as beach supplies, and tennis rackets and balls! A short drive away, Coleman pool offers a unique outdoor saltwater pool that sits on the scenic shores of Lincoln Park overlooking the Sound. The Admiral Viewpoint boasts one of the best vistas of downtown Seattle and is a 5 minute walk away from the cottage.

Come enjoy one of the longest established communities of Seattle!
West Seattle is one of the true gems-of the northwest!

Cozy and so comfy

Our stay at this bungalow was great in so many ways: the cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, appointed and decorated more like a real home, not a temporary one; the neighborhood was quiet, but within easy walking distance of shops, grocery stores and restaurants (check out Circa, it’s great!); and Lori was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We’re already looking forward to a return visit!

Cute West Seattle Home

I don't want to lave a review because I want to keep this property a secret. I loved this house, It was so cute. The neighborhood is quiet. The house location is easy to get to from the highway. We were not far from shopping, Trader Joes, and Alki Beach. I would stay here again.

Charming quiet cottage

This is a lovely small cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The neighborhood was very quiet. Having a driveway to park the car is very helpful on the tight West Seattle streets. A very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable living room and dining room. King bed was great. 2 A/C units would have been very useful in the hotter days. Luckily we were able to get by with just the fans. Overall, very nice!

Great gem for a Seattle trip

This awesome cottage in West Seattle was a wonderful find. We (my husband, son and myself) traveled for a combined work and personal trip to the greater Seattle area, and we wanted something more comfortable than a hotel room for our stay. Wow! Lori provided a beautiful, well appointed cottage that had many, many accoutrements. Not only was the property impeccably clean, it was beautifully and artfully decorated. While we did not do much cooking, I greatly appreciated the well stocked kitchen supplies and essentials like spices, kitchen towels and cleaning supplies. Bonus items were the beautiful back patio area and hot tub! in addition to having a wonderful place to stay, we had the chance to explore West Seattle and Alki Beach. I am pretty sure that having eaten at many great restaurants (Lori provides a nice list of places), visited fun shops, walked through the neighborhoods and ridden the water taxi to Seattle that we will never stay anywhere else again when visiting Seattle. Staying at a comfortable, beautiful and clean home like Lori's is what makes VRBO such an attractive option for travel. Thank you, Lori!

Great spot in West Seattle

Had a great visit in West Seattle and this house was a perfect set up for us (3 adults). Well maintained and appointed. Plenty of extras (hot tub, gas fire pit) private getaway on a quiet residential street. Easy to walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Water taxi to downtown Seattle was a bit of a hoof but very doable.

Wonderful Stay

Great getaway

House is comfortable and clean, located in a friendly neighborhood and close to shopping, parks, and views. Owner was easy to communicate with. We even lost an important item outside in the snow, which to our appreciation, the owner later found and mailed back to us.

West Seattle

My husband and 2 teenage sons stayed at this lovely home in West Seattle. The location was perfect and great for walking, biking and driving. The house had everything we needed- clean, comfortable and we loved the backyard. We sat out back a few evenings with the fire pit while our son used the hot tub- very relaxing and comfortable. The location is great- close to California Street and Alki Beach. We spent a lot of time at Alki Beach walking and the kids rented scooters. Our kids used the 2/4 bikes the host provided and really enjoyed having that option. The drive to Seattle was challenging some mornings, but nothing we aren't used to living in Atlanta. Perfect weather all but 1 day and that wasn't bad either. Took a great day trip to Astoria, Seaside and Canaan Beach in OR and to Mount Rainier. The owner was fantastic- she let us check in early and was very responsive whenever we had a question. We would go back and stay at the same house again.
