This charming historic home is a short walk to town and all the artisan shops and restaurants. Minutes from Shepherd University, C&O bike path, and public Potomac River access (canoes, kayaks, tubes). A short drive to historic Harpers Ferry and Antietam. Features eat-in kitchen, two-story deck, patio w/ grill, soaking tub, master bedroom with loft (can sleep 4 total), bedroom #2 (daybed w/ pop-up trundle sleeps 2 total). Property is adjacent to an active railroad. Whistle can be loud. Train schedule is variable.

Lovely home filled with light, convenient location to surrounding areas but very private. Fenced area for the dog was appreciated. We were very comfortable here for four nights and plan to return to the area soon. Definitely recommend.

Very clean, lots of character and convenient location to shops and restaurants! This house was perfect for our family’s holiday weekend getaway. I wish it hadn’t rained too much for us to enjoy the nice patios, but there were lots of great spots inside to curl up with a book. The loft upstairs? What a cute use of the space, I want one! Besides the occasional train, the area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I do recommend packing earplugs if you sleep lightly, but most of us slept through fine. My kids are train enthusiasts and LOVED watching the track from the upstairs windows. They are still talking about it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the area, and having access to this lovely home brought it all together. A stones throw from downtown and immediate access to an amazing restaurant across the road. Clean and spacious, this cared for home will be our pick when we return.
