Enjoy your stay @ 1st Street Retreat, a newly updated DOG FRIENDLY open concept studio apartment with private entrance and fenced in yard. Location is 1 block to the beach and walking distance to all your favorite restaurants like the famous Taco Shop right on the corner, Mango Mangos, Beach Comber, Café Eleven, Sunset Grille, Salt Life and the best ice cream in town Cone Heads.

Get in the car and take a quick 7 minute car ride to historic downtown and enjoy all it has to offer.


The outside retreat consists of outdoor shower which is great after a day at the beach with your dog, Propane BBQ, table and chairs, a propane fire pit for those cool relaxing evenings which goes perfect with a glass of wine.
We also provide beach chairs, beach towels, and beach cart.

Inside you will enjoy the beach feel of the open concept apartment with free wireless internet, Smart TV for streaming. Dog friendly floors, King size bed, kitchen with stainless steel appliances which consist of oven, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, toaster oven, blender, dishes, cups, bowls, silverware etc. Bathroom with walk in shower and all amenities you need.

We allow up to 2 dogs, there is a dog fee of $75.00

SORRY NO CATS ALLOWED DUE TO ALLERGIES

All you need to do is pack your clothes and your dog and come and enjoy our little retreat.

Great place and great location

We had a great time here! The place was clean and spacious and just what we needed. The location is great, short walk to the beach, right by A1A Burrito Works, and enjoyed a bunch of great restaurants downtown. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Sweet Get-a-way

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Beach house is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Short drive to "downtown" area. Tasteful "beachy" decor was very comforting and had a peaceful ambiance. Pet friendly was a HUGE consideration for us and was a nice size for our special girl. Loved it!

A wonderful getaway

The accommodations were perfect for us and our dogs. Being able to have the back yard to ourselves made it very easy to let our "girls" come in and out as needed. Location right across from the beach was easy access and we had some of the Best tacos from Taco Shop right on the corner, so good we had them both nights :-)

Perfect Property

We needed a place to stay for a few days as we were on our way to Sanibel from Charleston. We had our beloved dog, Ed, with us. 1st Street Retreat was perfect! We were welcomed with all types of “dog themed” decorative details. There was a grassy designated dog area within the fenced in yard. There was even a raised food and water dish inside. It was perfectly located across from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and coffee. And right across from the beach. And it was pristine! Thank you so much!

Adorable 1 bedroom apt, close to beach

My friend and I traveled to St Augustine for a wedding. This 1 bedroom apartment was clean, quiet and very nicely furnished. It was a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants and a coffee shop. We only stayed 2 days but loved it here. Love that the owners allow dogs too. We couldn’t bring ours on this trip but will remember the dog friendliness of this vrbo next visit to St Augustine. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Amazing Beach Getaway!

We had an amazing time with our two small dogs staying at Lisa's lovely flat. It was perfect, especially with the small side yard for our dogs. The home itself is spacious and well kept. We had everything we could need already stocked in the kitchen. And we also got to host some family staying in St. Augustine in the backyard. The grill and space were perfect for a small cookout and it was wonderful to spend the extra time with family. Lisa is also a fabulous host. She shared some great tips and recommended River And Fort for dinner. We ate there on our last night with our family and wow! The food and service were incredible. It was a fantastic recommendation. We also ate at Beachcomber, Kookaburra, and Burrito Works Taco Shop. All three are within a short walking distance and had incredible food. The home is also a short walk to the beach, making it easy to come home as needed. Lisa also provided a beach cart for our beach chairs and other items which was incredibly helpful. We're already looking forward to our next stay.
