Steps away from the boardwalk, children’s playground, and outdoor pool, this direct oceanfront ground floor condo boasts an amazing view from the patio, living room, and master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a drip coffee pot and stackable washer and dryer. The ample cabinet space and large dining room table that can seat six is perfect for a family beach vacation. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the dunes with your morning cup of coffee or the evening ocean breezes while you grill out for dinner on the unit’s electric grill. There is a king in the primary bedroom and the ensuite bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. In the guest bedroom there is a queen and a twin. The two twin bunk beds in the third bedroom known as the “Crow’s Nest,” is a perfect bedroom for the children in the family. As this condo is a Silver condo, much of the decor, furniture, and appliances have not been updated in 7+ years. This condo does not have all the bells and whistles, but it will be a comfortable and clean condo.

All of the condos are equipped with private Wi-Fi and have TVs in the living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom. We provide initial toilet paper, trash bags, bath soap, and dishwasher pods. Guests are advised to bring supplementary items if needed.

Take advantage of the recreational opportunities of this private gated community, including a large oceanfront pool, children's playground, two tennis courts with pickleball court lines, and a basketball hoop. Head indoors to our clubhouse where we have a heated indoor pool, brand new work out room, racquetball court, and a dry sauna.

The beautiful, white, sandy beaches are just a two-minute walk from buildings 1 and 2 and a three-minute walk from building 3. The beaches are accessible by car with just a short drive north to the Dondanville Road Access.

Only a 15-minute drive away is historic downtown Saint Augustine, where there is no shortage of shopping, dining, or fun activities for people of all ages. Check out the town's many historic attractions or hop on the Trolley to see it all on the go! You can purchase DISCOUNTED tickets to the Old Town Trolley and many of Saint Augustine’s attractions right in the main office at the property!

Saint Augustine has no shortage of kid friendly entertainment! Check out the Alligator Farm or the Lighthouse and Maritime Museum here on the island or head downtown for the Pirate and Treasure Museum or Potter’s Wax Museum for some good old fashion family fun!

Great stay

Great location and very convenient. Bathrooms need updating and extra care with the dishwashing. But the access to beach and pool were amazing. Loved our stay. Very helpful staff.

Weekend getaway

Overall Colony Reef Club condos has fantastic amenities, access to the beach and water views. The pool and area surrounding it was clean and had plenty of lounge chairs and tables. We enjoyed borrowing from the office (no extra fee) tennis balls and racquets to use on the tennis courts. We also made use of the workout room and indoor pool. The condo itself is a silver listing so we did not expect anything fancy. Overall the interior was clean on arrival but the patio was covered in sand and dirt from the prior guests. The furnishings are dated but comfortable. The kitchen had most of the equipment needed but some of the dishes were not clean and appeared to have been put away dirty. The kitchen was lacking in anything extra, we had to bring our own paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry soap etc... There was only one dishtowel and two single use packets for the dishwasher. We realized after out first night the A/C unit was not working properly. It was running constantly and we were unable to adjust it with the thermostat. We also discovered it did not have a filter installed. A few people in our family have allergies and I did not want to sleep in a condo without a filter in the A/C unit. I ended up having to purchase it myself b/c they did not have any extra in the office and I was told it was the weekend so the maintenance man was not available. (I was reimbursed for the filter purchase when we checked out.) The closet where the A/C unit and water heater reside was completely full of dust and could use a good cleaning out. The washer and dryer were old but worked ok when I figured out that the lint trap (which was hard to find) was extremely clogged up with lint. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in a while as the lint was about 2 inches thick. Another issue we had was there were no oven mitts or potholders in the kitchen. The first night I had to use the one dishtowel for getting our dinner out of the oven. This problem was quickly resolved by the friendly staff at the office. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the office staff was friendly and helpful but the condo itself could use some maintenance.

Oceanfront Budget Condo in need of updates

Communication with the property managers was clear and they said the condo was rated silver because it hadn’t been updated in 7+ years, so I understand it may have been a little dated. However, it’s in bad need of updates. The sliding doors get stuck, screen doors were completely bent in and couldn’t move on the master bedroom doors, curtain rods are all rusted and hard to move curtains, patio chair cushions are ripped, couches have small rips and tears. It looks like a one-star hotel accommodation with very basically stocked. On top of this, the property charges a $175 resort fee in addition to the rent for the outdoor pool and shuffleboard court that they picture and advertise with the unit. The entire property is dated and in bad need of remodels yet you get charged a $175 resort fee. Won’t be back to visit this property because it’s not for us, but if you want to be oceanfront on a budget then you may be able to overlook its shortcomings.

Perfect location

We absolutely loved the location and being beach front beside the pool and hot tub. The condo had everything we needed but was very outdated. It had some areas that looked dirty but it was moldy caulking and not really dirt. The showers didn’t drain well but overall the location and amenities made up for any disappointment.

Needs Thorough Cleaning Pre-Rent

Pros: Being directly on the ocean is a gift and this property was literally steps from the wide open beach. In the summer, the pools must be very popular but in the winter, they looked clean and peaceful. Walks daily on the beach were refreshing and peaceful. Our three teen boys had enough room to sleep though the small bunk room is exactly that. Kitchen was clean (except for the ants - see comments below) and fridge was large. We did not use the laundry machines. The property does have a lot of options for activity (if Corona guidelines allow) and we enjoyed the hot tub once but stayed mostly on the beach or downtown. We are vegan and did not use the grill. The outdoor patio is a nice place to sit and relax. The sheets and beds were fine and the towels may need updating but were adequate. The living room pictures include three large chairs and a sofa but two were not there. It is a larger space for movement without the extra chairs so I imagine that's why they are missing. Cons: Upon entering the condo, however, it was obvious this isn't used often or hasn't been for quite some time. Cobwebs surrounded the front door frame. Luckily, my teens don't mind bug catching and removal (being from Florida and living near the ocean, we are pretty understanding) but there was a dead roach carcass attached to the thin white curtains as well as a dead grasshopper on the main carpet and wriggling cocoon in the the main bedroom. These were all pretty obvious upon just entering the rooms. Also, the view to the ocean is very blurry due to the daily seaspray. Bring your windex if you wish a clear view like in the photos. A quick clean before our arrival would have improved the view 100%. There was an issue with ants in the kitchen and the manager sent someone the next day who told us the entire row of condos had issues (so why wasn't this handled before we arrived?). On the same day, the garbage disposal stopped working. We notified the office and they put in a work order but it wasn't fixed and by the time we left a few days later. Though we tried to keep all food from going into the drain, the water was backing up into the sink. The dishwasher also left sand or residue on the dishes (we always wash dishes when we arrive) so we mostly hand washed everything. Basically, I would recommend the location but a different unit, more frequently used perhaps. These are items that stemmed from neglect. We hope it helps future renters because the beach is great!

Great Proximity to Beach / Pool with Privacy

This condo has a great location! It's ground floor, but you can still see the ocean and the best part is walking right out to the pool and boardwalk to the beach! The boardwalk isn't too long and the beach is beautiful. The pool is large, the deck area very clean and water is clean and refreshing. The condo has a nice patio area with a table where you can dine, and also a couple of chairs/ottomans which are perfect for watching the sunrise or having an afternoon cocktail. The condo itself has a comfy couch and chair. The mattresses and pillows were good. The towels and sheets were well laundered. The unit could use a little touch up paint and maybe a good deep clean (things like dusting light bulbs and wiping out kitchen drawers, the dryer had quite a bit of sand in it). The bathrooms have a bit of wear and could use a little caulk here and there, but for the price and the location, these things are easy to overlook. We were mostly only in the unit to sleep as the grounds, pool and beach were awesome. My children are teens and the wifi and AC were their main concerns - both were great. The AC was FREEZING cold - score! The kitchen has a big mix match of pretty much anything you could need.

Property needs updating. Resort customer service was terrible. Had a defective TV and despite numerous visits to office and promises from them to fix TV; they never did. Items that were supposed to be available were not.
