The bed was too soft for us. Once I got used to the bed, it was still hard to fall asleep. I don’t know why that is. Perhaps EMF.

This hotel offered us much more than what was described on its website. Outdoor furniture is spread throughout the large backyard along the river, where we spent time enjoying our morning coffee and relaxing after hiking. We also enjoyed the live Irish music on Thursday evening. The Stowe Recreation Path is within a short distance (0.25 mi).

So cute and (mostly) functional!

Our deluxe king with patio at this cute little resort was a perfect summer getaway. Prime location, great amenities, fair price, and amazing water pressure! The lack of available surface area and clothing storage was a little frustrating. A small chest of drawers at a height that functioned as a table for the two chairs would go a long way! The nook where the electric kettle was positioned for making coffee/tea was nowhere near a usable outlet and the hanging clothes rod was directly above the coffee/fridge nook so morning coffee was harder than it needed to be. Felt very safe and cozy and would stay again!

Some easy fixes, mold and dark hallways not so muc

First, I'd like to commend your front desk representative, Payton. She was a delight, professional and accommodating. All my ratings are outside of her exceptional service. The hallways and rooms smell of mold and are not lit, just waiting for a fall and a liability for the hotel. Waiting until 7:00 a.m. for coffee is absurd - I recommend you change that to 6:00 a.m. While I waited in the lobby for the coffee, there were 8+ guests who came in for coffee and were as disappointed as I was that there was none. The following day, there was no half and half - poor planning, seems like there should have been a back up, easy. The grounds were not kept up with - each morning, there were empty glasses, trash, dirty towels. Disgusting. We were looking forward to sitting in the hot tub as well, but after seeing how many people were in it and seeing absolutely NOONE treating it with chemicals the entire time we were there, that was a hard no. The bar area is darling, I can imagine how fun it would be during ski season. The only saving grace that made our stay enjoyable was the beautiful grounds, the Adirondack chairs we sat on each morning and evening overlooking the river. We saw a black bear which was exciting and enjoyed a roaring fire made by wonderful Payton! We'd come back if some or all of these issues were resolved. Thank you - I'm not normally a complainer, but some of these comments are an easy fix and will help others have an enjoyable stay.
