At the River Merchant Inn & Spa, your beautifully decorated and fully furnished 1000 sq. ft private retreat is on the bank of the picturesque Avon River. This full size, 2 bedroom apartment is a historical experience detailing, and using archive pictures and memorabilia, the original uses of this unique downtown building beginning in 1860 as the Mitchell, Caven & Co Mercantile store. Upon 2018 restoration, this building was the winner of the 2018 James D Anderson Heritage Restoration Award. After a day of walking just steps from your door to any of the 3 Stratford Festival Theatres, and many riverside and downtown activities, relax in the elegant and very unique Modern Industrial decorating by the fireplace, in the deep soaker bath tub, playing some vintage games on the game table, or unwind at the attached Illume Spa. Your Suite is located in the heart of Stratford’s beautiful, historic, tourist downtown with shops, outdoor cafes, restaurants, and activities.
