Good basic hotel. The room was large with a sofa and small table and two twin beds. However the window is blocked by the building next door so the room is dark with no natural light. The breakfast is simple but decent. It’s not a buffet. We were there just one night so I don’t know if the breakfast changes. The lobby and restaurant are very dated.

We chose budget hotels for our two week trip, four different chains/brands. This one was close to Tokyo Station and very convenient for many local rail lines. It was easy to visit Senso-ji, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and more places around Tokyo. Unfortunately our non-smoking room had an odor reminiscent of smoking. We tried to sleep there and weren't getting good sleep. The staff did move us to another (larger) room after we mentioned it. The double bed was smaller than three other hotels for the trip (a double isn't a double?). There was no underbed storage so just using our luggage was challenging in a normal small hotel room The headboard was too thin to set phones on overnight for charging. The TV was mounted nearly at surface level of the desk (taking up a lot of space) so setting up all our electronics to charge became a challenge onto itself. No coffee available in the hotel so I resorted to instant with the in-room kettle which also required more desk-space juggling. The restaurant's western options were unsatisfying (we tried twice). We did exchange our last day's breakfast tickets for granola packs. We wished we didn't opt to include breakfast with the room at all. I hate to speak poorly of it as we found the staff to be helpful, but it was just a sub-optimal experience for our final nights in Japan. I waited until staying at all four chains before writing any reviews. I would not stay here again.

This hotel's staff is just wonderful and very responsive to our questions! We will definitely consider staying here again in Tokyo! It is located near Tokyo station and very walkable, and the Edogrand offers wonderful places to eat without having to venture too far out for weary traveler. You can pick up hotel amenities at the lobby if you need anything, and get daily clean towels if you desire. There's also currency exchange machine and laundry facilities on the 2nd floor lobby/front desk, so everything is very convenient and nice! We loved the staff and everything about this hotel! And, it was worth paying a little extra to get the superior twin bed room as it offered much for space for our 4 pieces of luggage and as sofa! I loved the fact that their bathroom is not a "step up" but level to the floor! There is also a refrigerator in the room and big enough closet space. Loved it!
