The room was small and dark. On the day we were supposed to leave, we were woken up by a major water leak coming from the roof. We hurried to find someone working there, and when we did, he told us we could get a new room in two hours (luckily, we were already checking out that day). He then excused himself to “check something.” We packed our things and rushed out of the room, only to find him sitting at the reception, relaxing, seemingly, without a care in the world.

All though the street it is on - which is narrow and run down- the hotel and rooms are very nice. Clean and tidy and with good amenities. Very convenient for the water taxis at the Rialto bridge, which is very busy, but great for getting around. Lots of good food outlets only a few minutes away.

The staff at Hotel Aurora were very friendly and helpful, and the location next to the famous Rialto Bridge made it easy to find and explore the city. The room was small but comfortable. However, the breakfast was disappointing.
