Welcome to Joy Cottage, your peaceful getaway from metro life! This newly renovated and furnished Zen house, designed with inspiration from the wabi-sabi aesthetic, is nestled within a tranquil Buddhist temple retreat in the Catskills.

YOU WILL HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE 155 ACRES TEMPLE RETREAT REGION!

Enjoy this unique experience of a calm and blissful break from the busy city with family or friends. Joy Cottage opens up to a gorgeous view of our East Pond, home to a variety of wildlife and a man-made island with a Buddha statue and waterfall.

All THREE BEDROOMS HAVE ENSUITE BATHROOMS!
They also face the pond!

The large dining table seats up to 6 people.

There is a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, pressure cooker, dishwasher, and just about everything else you need including cookware and silverware. A pour-over coffee set, water kettle, and tea bags are provided. Please bring your own coffee.

Other conveniences include central air conditioning, a laundry room, plenty of closet space, and areas for storage.

WiFi is available throughout the house.

Shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap are all provided.

Peaceful place

This was great for a group getaway. My only suggestions would be 6 Adirondack outdoor chairs. The three little benches were not comfortable and the other cushioned furniture was wet. The double doors need screens to you can see the water and let in fresh air. Also firepit materials would be good. Would definitely come again. Thank you.

Much needed peace and quiet

A group of six friends wanted to spend a quiet New Year's weekend out of the City. Joy cottage provided the ideal escape... clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. It couldn't have been a more perfect match for us. I am already planning another return trip.
