We cooked a lot, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms and rooms were so nice and clean. We appreciated the washer and dryer. We would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location and beautiful, well stocked home. There did seem to be an odor, as mentioned in other reviews, which appeared to be from the plumbing traps being dry from lack of use, but we ran water through all the drains (including the washer and dishwasher) and that seemed to reduce it significantly. I suggest you have the property manager run water through the plumbing when the house has not been used regularly to avoid the issue. Otherwise it was clean and lovely.
I have very mixed reviews regarding this property. This cabin is very nice, cozy, spacious and with many updates. It is also conveniently located to Sugarbush mountain. The cabin description matched up well as advertised and I would have given it more stars if it wasnât for several meaningful issues that made the experience an unpleasant one for our entire stay. One of the issues was apparently a known issue to Skyrun and if they would have been transparent and open about the issue prior to booking this property, then I could have made a more informed decision not to book this one. The moment I walked into the house, it smelled like rotten eggs and it wasnât coming from garbage. We discovered on our own that the terrible smell was coming from all of the water sources including the showers, faucets and toilets. This stench permeated throughout the house which truly made our stay an unpleasant one as much as we tried to make the best of it since we had children with us. After bringing this to Skyrunâs attention during our stay, they apologized for this âknownâ issue they said and provided us with one air purifier and one air freshener, but none of that helped. The second issue is that there is an infestation of lady bugs that were flying all around the house concentrated in the kitchen area and onto our food. In summary, I was very disappointed not with the cabin itself and all the good that it has to offer, but with the experience and the lack of transparency of the issues.
Beautiful property and house. The layout was wonderful. The house felt spacious even though it was small. The kitchen had everything we needed. The porch in back was perfect for reading. The furnishings were lovely. The proximity to Warren (2 miles) was great. The only issues were the low water pressure in the master bath shower (the large showerhead?) and a smell coming from the utility closet off of the master bedroom which we could not identify. Other than that, a perfect stay. We would like to return.
