Home Away From Home

Welcome to our charming 1920s two bedroom and one bath cottage. This cozy and well-maintained space offers a unique glimpse into the past while providing all the modern comforts you need for a comfortable stay. A king, queen and pullout queen beds give you plenty of space for rest. Off street parking for up to three vehicles and a privacy fenced back yard. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, our 1920s two bedroom and one bath cottage is a comfortable and nostalgic retreat.
The space
The home has a large living room, full kitchen and two bedrooms. There is a game room in-between the two bedrooms with a tv and lots of games. There is a deck out back with a bbq grill. We will be adding outdoor furniture and having the brick firepit redone for spring.
Guest access
You will have full access to the home and backyard! We have locked access to the attic door and a door in the mud room that is a storage area with utilities.
Other things to note
We have a guest book with a lot of the details on what is in the home and how it works. It is located in the kitchen next to the microwave. The home was built in the 1920's. We have done a lot of renovation with added upgrades including new windows, siding, roof, flooring, updated bathroom, and refinishing the original kitchen cabinets with new granite countertops. The home has settled over time so there are some unlevelled floors that have been stabilized. We also tried to keep as much of the original trim as we could in the home. We loved doing the work and hope your enjoy this home!

This is a perfect home. Almost everything is provided by this host. You could literally bring your clothes and food, and you would not need anything else.Very pet-friendly, fenced back yard, even a treat or two. Very close to both the College and the Air Force base.We would stay here again.

This property had a very open concept. The back yard is great , nice 6' fence for privacy with grill, mature trees & plenty of seating. Loved that they offered all the toiletries , especially the mini bar of soap. We appreciated the snacks that were provided. Thanks so much!!

Perfect Rental!

I was in town for my niece’s graduation and wanted to spend time with her and her siblings. Some of them stayed overnight at the house and loved the game room and the fenced yard, along with the large couches for lounging and playing video games. I loved the location - it was very close to the graduation venue and close to many stores, restaurants, and activities. It was also within delivery range of a lot of places. I had groceries delivered twice, which was extremely convenient. The hosts had left an informative binder of instructions and recommendations at the house, which was helpful. They were prompt in responding to my messages and everything was clean and comfortable. The house was the perfect size and had all of the essentials and a lot of extras. There were both ceiling fans and stand alone fans, which were very useful for hot sleepers. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable and provided excellent sleep. The house was laid out and stocked very thoughtfully and comfortably. I will definitely reserve this place for future visits.

Weekend get away

made our visit great and easy

Thank you for having such a nice home that was conveniently located near my son who is in the Air Force. We visited him and his girlfriend who just had our granddaughter and we were able to make some nice meals for them and the home had all the conveniences available to us. The home was clean, had streaming access on all tvs. Any questions I had were answered quickly by the owners. We will definitely look for this home for future visits.

We loved our stay- the house was so comfortable, the dogs loved being able to stretch their legs in the yard. Brandon was friendly and easy to communicate with, we felt right at home. We will be back the next time we are in the area for sure!
