Small, dirty and under stocked
The lake was beautiful (although could not see from house very well) but the house was less than stellar. It was dirty, tons of bugs, mold, dust and overall very campy as opposed to a "house.". Did not fit 9 guests comfortably. Only 4 towels, 4 rolls of toilet paper, kitchen not well stocked. House listed as sleeps 11. Bearly held 9. For a 7 night stay this was not even close to enough supplies. Bed mattresses were stained, the bathroom towels had stains, windows missing screens, kitchen table only had 6 chairs. Pots, pans and kitchen items dirty and rusty. Wall AC units were loud and made noises. Ligh bulbs were out, dishwasher did not work well. Overall this was a more cabin/camping experience than staying in a nice lake house. Clubhouse , playgrounds, etc... were not close to house and were not very nice. We made the best of it but it did not live up to the pictures and description.

Woman’s vaca
We had a group of 9 woman. the house was very nice and clean. We would have liked to used the fire pit but there are no chairs to sit in or any wood. we had to call and get trash bags and were given a total of 4 for a week. the upstairs does not have air conditioning /heat and could use better beds it is geared more for children ( no dressers or night stands) extra blankets and towels would be a plus. The AC down stairs will freeze you out it works great! the dish washer still needs shelf fixed.(as mentioned in other posts) We did not use the kayak or the canoe as they were filled with water and muck. We also did not know how to locate the club houses directions in the book would be a good idea. When cooking the only thing we didnt have was bowls for mixing things up. the host was great at letting us know where shops were where we could get gifts to take home. we enjoyed sitting on the deck most of the time. Over all great little house.

22 Ridgeway Circle
the outside of the home definitely needs some TLC, cob webs and dead bugs all over the lights and windows. An interior exterminator could also be used, several spiders and ants came to visit us too. the kitchen utensils and cookware could be better for a home that sleeps up to 10 people. Bath towels could also be increased. not very many of those either, about 1 per person which means laundry is needed to be done daily to have fresh towels. if you enjoy the smell of weed, the neighborhood is good, otherwise, not so much. Overall, we were glad to take a family trip to Maine and we did enjoy our stay.

Nice, clean spot near a lake.
Home is clean and well-furnished, with plenty of beds. Great to have two boats for accessing the nearby lake.

Great Property
This was a perfect option for our family trip! We stayed 4 nights at the rental and were not disappointed. We wanted a location that could sleep 7 adults and a place that had a large table/open environment as my family planned day trips to Portland and evenings to be at the rental playing games and hanging out. Worked out perfectly and would recommend to all! The only downsides to list - as mentioned in other reviews the dish washer rack is broken and needs to be fixed, and the beds overall were not comfortable - would recommend/hope in time that the property owner might replace the beds because that was my one real issue with the place (or invest in some cushioned mattress covers?)

Great location for families
This is a great location for families. A beach on the lake, with picnic tables, pool noodles and sand toys is a short walk from the house, with great kayak and paddle board opportunities. The kid friendly community center has an outside pool and indoor heated pool, ping pong, air hockey etc. There are multiple playgrounds with tennis courts that also can be used for pickle ball. Nothing was high end, but it was serviceable and we enjoyed using them. The other community center is adult friendly, with free weights, weight machines, aerobic exercise equipment and a pool. The house is basic but clean and comfortable. The only detractions were the broken bottom rack of the dishwasher(mentioned in another review) and a faint stale smoke odor.

Modest home, nice location
We made an initial mistake by bringing along our dogs, but as soon as we arrived and read the rules on the table we realized pets were not allowed so we immediately made arrangements with a nearby boarder we found on Rover.com. The host was super abrasive toward us about this, even as I was apologizing profusely and showing her receipts for the boarding bill. Afterward, she was slow to respond to our questions throughout our stay, but she did eventually answer us within several hours. The home is across from a beautiful lake, and the beach is a short walk (maybe 3-4 minutes) from the house. As advertised, there was a canoe and kayak available for use and we all had a great time fishing on the lake in the evenings. It was a bit hard to figure out the clubhouse locations - there were no directions or official names for the clubhouses, and the host was slow to respond, but after some googling and phone calls, we were able to find one a map. For reference, Clubhouse 2 is the better one - it includes an indoor pool, outdoor pool, air hockey and pool table, outdoor volleyball/tennis/basketball/horseshoes and some swings for the little ones. That clubhouse is a 10 minute drive, and is located at 206 Old Portland Rd, for anyone who may also be struggling to find it. The home itself: modest, open, and clean enough. There was this weird thing where at night all these thousands of gnats(?) would get in the house somehow (all the windows were shut), and in the morning I'd wake up and the front and back doors and all the window sills were COVERED with tiny bugs. I found a vacuum in a closet and just made a habit of vacuuming them up every morning before we ate breakfast. The beds were awful. Springy, loose, and angled oddly. We all slept rather poorly and woke up sore. The only other real drawback to the house was the distinct lack of towels. Towels aren't something I think to bring when traveling, so unfortunately we didn't bring additional ones, and the house itself had very few to use between showers for everyone and going to the beach/pool throughout the day. I had to wash towels every day and even then we were still short. The neighborhood was nice, peaceful, but the neighbor did have a dog that was tied outside often and seemed aggressive, just a heads up if you have little kiddos. Overall, it was a great week - enjoyed the peace, the lake, the pool and time with family.

Mostly met our needs
This house was fairly comfortable and clean. Beds were good and so were showers. It was nice to have AC but the upstairs was quite warm when it was hot. Maine is very humid and it felt like there was a constant dampness to all of our towels and clothes both from the weather and the house. There was a good washer and dryer but the dishwasher bottom rack was broken and didn't really push in and out. Freezer was also hard to use because of extra frost. We didn't eat at the house much but there was only eight place settings so we ran out quickly with our family of five and had to run the dishwasher often. The lake was close and the kids had fun swimming there. The clubhouse with indoor or outdoor pools was further and we drove (about 5 minutes). The kids liked the indoor pool best (which had to be reserved during Covid).

Great Family Getaway
The house is clean, updated, and as-advertised. A lovely little sandy beach with swim area is less than 5min walk away and there are some beach toys and beach chairs at the house to use. The canoe and kayak are on dollies for bringing down to the beach, which was great. We enjoyed the outdoor pool at clubhouse #2 as well as several nearby playgrounds. We enjoyed hiking Sawyer mountain which is about 15 minutes away. We also enjoyed grilling, evening campfires, and relaxing on the deck. There weren't beach towels (that we could find), so just make sure to BYO on that front. other linens were provided and sufficient for our largish group. Having a good-quality washer/dryer was SO helpful, as was the air conditioning. Note that the upstairs "bunk room" is not air-conditioned (it does have a fan), so it was pretty warm up there some nights. No big deal, just something to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay!

Convenient yet secluded
I loved the location of this property. It was nice to come back to a quiet place after daily activities/site seeing. It didn’t take long to get to/from Portland, Old Orchard Beach and any other places we wanted to see. I highly recommend this rental.
