Host was great and easy to get in touch with, Parking is good as long as itâs been plowed prior to arrival as ours was. Access to the trail is a little tricky but doable for experienced riders unless the road is snow covered over then you can access trails by the road. Nearby store is open if weather permits, very useful in last minute items needed. Three of the double beds are fold out beds and two of the twins are fold out roll always, portable beds were in good shape. Use of garage while renting the house was nice for sled thawing and night gathering around a heater which we brought. We plan to return next season for more riding.
House is clean, garage is handy, plenty of parking, easy in / out, Kitchen is well equipped, plenty of room to sleep a 8-10 people comfortably, internet and tv.Host are great to work with and helpful.Gas / store nearby. Perfect for a family getaway.
Excellent location for snowmobiling. Perfect place for 4 buddies to spread out, play cards, hang out, and close enough but far enough away for civilization. Loved it!
House was very cozy and well furnished. Lisa was very responsive. Internet was great. We were there for snowmobiling and trail access via a forestry road was only 2 miles down the shoulder of Hwy 13. Gas was .3 from house. We would highly recommend this house.
The lovely and well-kept property made for lovely base for our exploration of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! Our family of 5 were all able to find their spaces to make themselves at home when we were at the home - including solid wifi signal for some unexpected work emergencies! Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us!
Family stayed for the week to snowmobile. We have rented this cabin several times. Close to fuel, plenty of room for trucks and trailers. Garage is nice to put sleds in at night. Mudroom is nice to hang gear. House is Comfortable and well equipped.
Excellent property and home
We had a small family getaway. The location and design of the home were perfect.
Short drive to Munising and plenty of space for the six of us. Home is clean and well kept and the owners are very responsive to any questions
This is our second summer in the UP and it wonât be our last. Our stay at Maple Ridge made our vacation all the sweeter this year. The cabin was as described/pictured, clean with a well stocked kitchen. Our family of nine (seven children ages 17 to four) had plenty of space to comfortably enjoy our week away with a great selection of both inside and outside toys and games. Our first evening there we had planned to unpack the van and âset upâ for the week. Much to my surprise we ended the evening with a game of washers with the teens, a campfire and star gazing! Lisa, the host was very helpful with directions, timely communication and even shared information about the local 4th of July festival. Without hesitation we will stay at Maple Ridge the next time we are in the UP.
This comfortable house is everything you need and in a great location, near gas and the trails! Plenty of room for trucks and trailers too. We had a great time in this beautiful house! We will definitely be back next year!
This is a really lovely property with a cozy ski cabin feel, beautiful lot, well-provisioned kitchen and more. Lisa was very communicative with us and provided clear directions as well as clear procedures for us to follow. The area is quiet and adjacent to spectacular scenery. Highly recommend!
Truly incredible experience in every way. Not a single complaint or suggestion. Five star northern Michigan getaway. Perfectly situated 15 minutes south of downtown munising and the pictured rocks.
We loved our stay here! The home was very peaceful and super comfortable. Our trips to Munising were very close and nearby stores/restaurants were plentiful. We will definitely rent this out again!
Such a nice clean, comfortable house. We were there with my family, which included six adults, a nine month, old, baby, and two dogs. It worked out great that we each had our own level to sleep on. There is no air conditioning but thatâs not a problem. Open the windows at night and close them in the morning and youâll stay plenty cooI. It was about a 15 to 20 minute drive to Munising. We went hiking, kayaking, tour, boat cruise, and a great brewery called By George, which we visited every day. LOL . You must hike to the beachâŠbeautiful and bigger beach than Mexico resorts. The pizza place across from the brewery was very good also and offered vegetarian and vegan options. You must try the pasties. They were great and we also ate at Captain Ronâs fish food truck. The grocery store was a bit expensive so I would recommend you bring as much food and booze as you can. There is a small general store down the road from the house thatâs helpful. Bring mosquito spray if going in June. We also bought a stroller mosquito net for the baby but put it over her (and the person carrying her) when hiking. She didnât get a single bite! Lisa made our reservations and arrangements effortlessly and kept in constant contact. So professional and efficient. Thank you, Lisa!!! We did buy firewood for bonfires, but forgot the sun stays up until around 9:30 PM , then the mosquitoes came out and we ran inside. Overall very enjoyable house and we will definitely stay there again.
Great property and location. Close to munising, boat tours, kayaking, parks, lakes and hicking trails. Property has everything you need from dishes to games and toys for the kids
We came to the U P to go snowmobiling and this house was perfect for our needs! Plenty of space and the mud room was awesome for all our gear! The house is located near trails and that was great! Would definitely come back!
Lisa thought of everything. Completely comfortable and furnished for a getaway anytime of year. The location is convenient to town (Munising) and Hiawatha Forest for a day of hiking or fishing. We will be back.
