poor logistics, cheeky staff

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: marginal service
I like this hotel mostly because it is close to Araxi, a phenomenal restaurant. However, there are other, better choices in Whistler. Sundial, Fairmont, etc... My experience was that the Pan Pacific had difficulty not losing my ski equipment, fumbling the transfer from hotel to mountain twice. They eventually did lose one of my ski poles and rather than giving me a sincere apology, I received several emails ridiculing my "fancy" equipment. Just not a good experience overall.

This hotel is heaven on Earth!

We love this hotel and stay every year. The rooms are beautiful, cleaned spotless everyday. The lobby is beautiful. This Pan Pacific Village Centre is better than Pan Pacific Mountainside if you like a quiet room. It is in the center of Whistler and steps away from the Starbucks. Great hotel.

The Best Hotel to stay in Whistler

We had the best stay here from the moment we got off the bus from the airport. Everything was top notch. They took our skiis from the bus and transported them to their sister hotel at the base of the ski lift and stored it in their lockers for us. Once we were done skiing they shipped the ski back to the front desk at checkout. The rooms, well they were simply great. CLEAN is the best adjective I can say for it. The layout was perfect with the full kitchen. The bedroom has a door that you can shut off from the living room if someone wants to watch TV without disturbing others. The small admentities were what impressed us the most. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and cleaning supplies in case you want to go to the village and buy your own groceries and cook in your room. My wife wanted me to add that the fireplace was great to have on when it was cold outside. The bed was very comfortable and they had really high end bed sheets. Without a doubt I will rave to anyone about our great stay at this hotel. One tip I would add is that this hotel is just like their sister hotel at the mountainside. It's cheaper to stay here than there plus you get free breakfast here. With their complimentary locker service for your skiis to the mountainside hotel lockers, you really don't need to pay extra for the convience of the closer mountain site. Plus this hotel is newer so the carpets are in better shape than the other hotel.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

All staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Didn't know how to work coffee machine and someone came over immediately to show us how to use it. Free continental breakfast buffet was beautifully displayed, fresh and diverse, not just cereal and pastries - included a variety of fruit as well as deli meats and boiled eggs. Loved the room - very modern, classy, and beautifully appointed - very comfortably took care of our family of five. Nice pool but didn't get to use it. Nicest kitchenette we've ever seen. Upper floor rooms are 6 and higher. Fire station is right across the street but fortunately never heard it. Really excellent location. Don't forget your room card or you'll have trouble getting back through the garage level entrance. Would definitely go back to this hotel next time in town. Don't forget Whistler is hosting Olympics in 2010 so reserve in advance!

Well worth the trip to Whistler

The Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre is right in the center where the action is. It's so worth the stay. The room is clean and modern. A nice view if you like to be a hermit, but there is no reason to. Internet and breakfast buffet was nice. Kitchen a plus. Gotta to visit the local resturants for some good northwest cuisines. They're running a nice special now in the early summer, ranging from $19, $29, and $39 prix fix menus. My fav is Rim Rock Cafe. But they are all good. Only downside is parking, but you can park in Lot 4 in designated areas over night for free up to 72 hours. Be careful as some people will tell you can't. It's a loophole for campers who camp there overnight. A short walk away. Enjoy.

great stay!

pan pacific whistler village was a wonderful choice for our christmas holiday. we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. plenty of room for our family of 5. the pool was nice. hot tub large. we also used the pool and spa at the mountainside resort one day. the hotel is very close to the mountainside breakfast buffet that was included was fabulous. the best we've ever had. so many delicious and healthy choices. yes, the parking fee is a bummer. but we drove up, unloaded our stuff, and they took our vehicle to park. when we needed it back, they brought it promptly.
