Just what we wanted

Up from Vancouver for 3 days. Just needed a comfortable place in a convenient location. This was perfect. Clean. Simple kitchen where we could make breakfast. Short walk to the lifts.

Location is great, but there’s a lot to improve here. The tiny hot tub is in a small passthrough between the second floor wing and the lobby, highly exposed and impersonal. The TV system is archaic, 1980’s tech fitted to a flat screen tv (not even a program guide!) presumably with a goal of trying to sell movies at $25 a pop. The property wants skis left in the lobby which is a hike up 2 flights of stairs, no thought to convenience or practicability. No in-room recycling so no thought to sustainability (there was a compost bin, hidden in a dark corner under the sink). Oh and the walls are paper thin, easy to listen in to next door.

Nice accommodation, but can hear next room over

Nice accommodation: spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, kitchen with everything needed for a short stay, and the fireplace adds a classy touch. The only issue is with noise: The room has a connecting door to room 525 which has very little soundproofing. So I had my neighbour’s conversation rather clearly every evening of my stay. Additionally, the room is close to an elevator which is in use until midnight. So if you’re sensitive to noise and/or you’re a light sleeper, you may wish to consider other options.

Our stay

We loved the location, right in the middle of the village. We loved the kitchenette. The tv channel selection was terrible, archaic. We did not stay in our room all day, but during evening watching a movie would have been nice. The signage to p4 was absolutely terrible and very confusing. We also loved the maintenance crew, twice were called to our room (Matt). First time batteries not working in tv remote. Second time water was leaking from the toilet all over the floor. Repaired next day while we were out, we were offered another room, however declined. Pleasant stay.

I received what I expected: a nice, clean, convenient and quiet room for my four days skiing in Whistler. If I return back soon I will look for the same place. By the way my room was not facing towards that pizza place that few people complained, but was facing the opposite side of the building.
