Hotel was bery modern and about 20 minutes drive from the city center. An Uber ride is about $20 CHF but a taxi is $60CHF to get to the city center. We learned the hard way! The food was good in the restaurant and the breakfast was plentiful. We were surprised by the moving window in our bedroom on the eighth floor! It actually opens up about a foot to let in outside air, and there is a barrier in front of it, of course. The staff was super friendly and helped us with any questions we might have.

No air conditioning.

The fact that you can’t find the no air conditioner in the rooms on the website is false advertising. Will never stay there again. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, and they don’t have fans, you have to request one from reception. I stayed just one night and left as early in the morning as I could because I was on the 10th floor and my room was very hot. I won’t recommend this hotel because they say it’s about being eco friendly when in reality it’s the company being cheap and trying to save money at the expense of their guests. Not the type of hotel I like to give money to.

The proximity to the railway station and rental rate were the attractions for this retired couple. Our room was clean but bruised. We were disturbed by the debris in the area. The neighborhood gave us the sense of being unsafe after dark. The restaurant next door served a multi optioned breakfast, which a price advantage our the hotel. The hotel staff was outgoing and accomodating.

Excellent hotel. Extremely clean room, bedding, and mattress. Staff was friendly and very helpful in answering questions about where to go eat, etc. The one thing to note that the Expedia listing does not make clear is that there is basically no privacy when taking a shower, which can be bad if you are sharing a room with family or friends.

Hotel is modern and clean. It is situated in quiet business/ residential area of Zurich. We stayed just one night Staff very friendly and helpful; when I asked about Zurich Art Museum address and directions, not only I got a map with info, but also got a double voucher for museum tickets.

It is nice place stay for a family. It is not at City Center, but close and easy to get there through the Tram system. Staff are courteous and attentive. Breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are neat and nice. Very clean.

We had booked 2 night stay at Placid Hotel. The only positive features that I can recommend is that a) It's located in non crowded area and has good connections to the city centre. b) The rooms were big enough and the breakfast was good. However I would not book the hotel again for the following reason a) We have to change twice from Zurich HB Station, once by train and again by bus to avoid using a taxi or walking with our luggages b) The hotel room lacks Wifi and we were without Wifi for 2 days. When checked at reception, we were told that there was a fault that they will fix it but later i realised that the rooms were far away from the router. c) The hotel room is ultra modern but who will put a big mirror in the toilet? there were big enough wardrobes that could fit many mirrors! the shower was open without privacy and it's not suitable if you want to stay with a family including young persons. d) There was no airconditioner and we couldn't sleep the last night as it was hot and we were scare to open the window from the 10th floor as it open vertically leaving a big opening. e) Most importantly there was a fire alarm on the 24th august and all guests had to run down the stairs at 5am from the top floors and be at the open ground with scanty clothes for 45 minutes. We were told that the hot shower triggered the alarm that the fire brigade had to come and close the incident. We then had to climb 10 floor as lifts were not be used. Our sleep was disturbed and so had to ca

Beautifully designed and maintained hotel at a reasonable price. Our room was very clean and spacious with large floor to nearly ceiling windows looking out over Zürich. The staff was very courteous. We arrived early and were allowed to check in as our room was ready. Overall, a wonderful experience.
