"Great place to stay for a large family "

"From the minute I made the reservation at this Villa for our girl's trip (4 of us), Monica was in communication. She was very responsive throughout our stay as well. She and Liz, whom the villa is named after, are a team and they work with their other sister and their husbands to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Monica and Liz greeted us with wine, cake, and lasagna - it doesn't get better than that! All of their cooking was delicious. The villa has three huge bedrooms, which is a luxury in Italy, and each has its own bathroom, which were also quite large. The common inside areas were nice, the kitchen is small and very well-stocked, and the outside grounds are just spectacular!We did not actually swim in the pool but we did lounge around the pool a couple of days for a bit and took a few dunks. It's very nice and the views are beautiful.The Villa is very close to the town of Poppi which is small and charming. Poppi has many shops, a few grocery stores, and a bunch of very good restaurants. We did visit the Zoo since we ate lunch there the day Monica and Liz invited us. It is owned by their family.We loved the bread service every morning - you order with Monica the day before and the bread you ordered is there in a bag on the entrance gate the next morning. Just one of the many touches of this wonderful villa.The only thing that caught us off guard was that we paid for electricity separately. And, our bill was quite expensive. Just be aware!"
