The shuttle bus free from airport and you have to pay 5 euro for the way back to airport which is not mentioned in the description Location far away from everything The staff not friendly

The rooms are cleaned every 2nd day . The staff very helpful but very busy at times , even with no costumers, and when sick they should go home. Bar ok . No fridge in the room

Location 5* Hotel 2*

We arrived at the Amedia hotel for one night stay as I was having a small procedure at the local faceland. The location I couldnt fault it’s right by the airport and close to faceland so that’s why we chose amedia. However the hotel itself was completely disappointing! The curtains were soiled and hanging off the rails! The cabinet under the sink was broken with nails sticking out, and the most annoying part of my stay was that the tv didn’t work! It kept turning off after every 5 mins leaving me to turn it off and on again, after telling reception they told me it stays on after 30 mins of watching!? Sorry what kind of back to from sleep/wake timer is that!? Awful the only thing to do in a hotel room and we couldn’t even watch it. The coffee machine was a nice touch but they only leave you 2 milks 4 sugars and 4 coffee’s for 2 people? So not ideal. Stay here if you need a close location for a night stay I wouldn’t dream of staying longer.

Good for a one night lay over. Wasn’t a fan that I was informed that there was free airport transportation but when I got there it was just free to the hotel, for transportation back to airport it was $5. There weren’t any really places to eat and the options at the hotel were terrible (just pizza). The room wasn’t clean; the cups for coffee were used and had crust on them. Good to stay for one night and get to airport but if you want to explore Amsterdam; this is not a good hotel for that.

There are too many things wrong with this hotel. First it’s located in an industrial/office complex without pretty much any access to non-hotel restaurants and or grocery shopping. To access any restaurants or grocery shopping you would have to take a 20 minute shuttle back to the airport! And to add insult to the injury you have to pay 5 Euro per person! Also, the front door revolving door is too small and not automatic which becomes a pain to deal with. On the second night of stay when I found out that the mini fridge in my room was not working and asked for a replacement, I was told that the maintenance guy had left for the day and that there was nothing they could do for me!

Overall, this is a nice hotel. There has been an ongoing issue with the lifts with both out of commission for a short period iime and then one working, and finally both working. The staff were attentive but seemed a bit overworked and with only reception staff available in the evenings. The food was good but dining services is only limited to breakfasts.

Spacious and clean room. Convenient breakfast. Can be better: The hotel room door didn’t lock from inside, the lock was there but the dead bolt latch wouldn’t get aligned with strike plate recess no matter how we tried. The hotel felt safe enough but still it made my family uncomfortable. Recommend to fix the lock. Hotel offered transportation from and to the airport for a fee. Convenient but the bus driver takes a break in the exact hour that we needed to take it. Staff never informed of this particular break and we had to call Uber in a rush. Recommend to provide better communication.
