Unfortunately, my experience with the staff at the store located next to the front desk was disappointing. On two separate occasions, the staff members were rude and highly unprofessional. There was no greeting upon approach, and staff appeared dismissive; at times scoffing at customers. During one interaction, a staff member came to the register to begin taking my order, then abruptly walked away with a visible attitude and asked another employee to take over. I would understand if there had been a misunderstanding or if my behavior warranted such a response; however, the only interaction on my part was a simple “good morning.” Experiencing this behavior twice suggests a larger customer service and staffing issue that should be addressed. Given the standards typically associated with Marriott properties, this level of service was unexpected and detracted from an otherwise convenient hotel location.
