Needs a fenced in backyard

I thought there was a fenced back yard, but there was not. The inside of the home was very nice and comfortable. The outside needs work.

Adequate

Outside was unkept. Inside was clean. Couch and beds were very uncomfortable. Bedding was very poor quality. Deer were the highlight.

I spent my birthday at Lago Vista. Amanda South is a generous host, and despite the issues that came up, she confronted them head on and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The house was beautiful, simple, and modern. It had many mirrors, which turned my 2 cats into 8 and gave me the feeling that I've become one of those crazy cat ladies with lots of cats. That was a fun experience. The neighboorhood was a quiet one, the lake was just a few blocks away--within walking distance. A guest pass to the lake is included with the house, allowing guests to visit the lake.Wildlife also lives peacefully among the community. In the fenceless backyard, my cats and I had fun watching a cottontail, a huge flock of geese on the horizon, many deer including a young buck and a newly born fawn, and don't forget the fireflies. So magical!Unfortunately, for the safety of the deer and other wildlife, the yard cannot be treated for chiggers, ticks, and other insects. The 20 chigger bites I got while there are bothersome, but they are my fault entirely. I should have brought along some "Grand Tongo Town and Jungle Protection" for myself (and family), and Vet's Best Mosquito repellent for my cats. Pro tip: Take a pet brush and spray it liberally with Vet's Best. Then brush your pet's fur. It'll keep mosquitos from landing and I'm sure it'll work on chiggers and ticks as well.Overall, this home was welcoming and delightful. Well worth the visit.

Lots of deer

We’ll start with the positives: owner was responsive to questions and concerns; location was a short walk to The Island where we could watch the sunset over the water. Beyond that it was, sadly, a disappointment. The front yard/entry was overgrown so the entry path wasn’t useable. The house itself is dated and shows obvious wear, and hadn’t been used in a while. There were clumps of dust in the corners, burrs in the carpet, old, mismatched, dirty dishes & glasses and so much mold in the master shower it was unusable. Lights were missing bulbs, there were flickering lights in the entry, the master bed was horribly sagging & creaky, there were only 2 bath towels & 2 very flimsy smaller towels, no hangers anywhere, the appliances need maintenance, the outdoor furniture was too dirty to use & the backyard was not as pictured. Overall, the experience was not nearly worth the price.
