The apartment is situated in the “Golden Quarter” of Barcelona, one of the best areas of the modernist district of the Eixample. It is near to the most exclusive and famous brand-name stores, excellent restaurants, cinemas, theaters and gourmet supermarkets. Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona’s number one street for shopping and architecture, is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s also within walking distance of architectural gems such as Gaudi’s Casa Battló, La Pedrera and other famous houses like the Casa Amatller by Puig i Cadafalch or the Casa Lleó Morera by Domenech i Montaner.

Located in a classic Eixample building, this 120 m2 charming 3-bedroom fully equipped apartment + a 50 m2 sunny terrace offers a quiet and comfortable oasis in a perfectly convenient neighborhood for visitors to Barcelona.

The apartment’s spacious 50 m2 terrace looks out onto an exclusive interior urban garden – a slice of nature in an otherwise bustling neighborhood. The high ceilings and bright rooms offer a calming and spacious atmosphere. Here you can dine al fresco and enjoy the tranquility of an urban oasis.

The apartment boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are double and 1 twin. From the master bedroom you can reach the terrace with tree views from the garden next door, which offers a sense of peace and tranquility that is hard to find in the center of the city. There is a spacious full bathroom and a half bath (toilet and sink).

The living area opens up onto a large, exclusive flowery terrace with views of the interior patio and garden, children’s play area and southern sunlight.

The kitchen has top of the line luxury appliances (Miele brand) and is complete with dishwasher, stainless steel fridge, microwave, oven, coffee pot, toaster and cooking utensils. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

Architecturally speaking, the apartment has conserved the original aspects since its original 19th Century construction, complete with wooden carpentry and vaulted and molded ceilings. The natural light and the tranquility of the apartment cannot be understated. Without a doubt it is a unique place to enjoy a happy vacation.

It has hardwood flooring throughout, located on the 1st floor and is insulated from street noise. All linens and towels are high-quality cotton.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Although perfectly located for enjoying Barcelona, the neighborhood maintains its local atmosphere with the newly renovated Paseo Sant Joan, where you will see the area comes alive with café terraces, urban playgrounds, local grocery and flower shops, pharmacies and bakeries.

If shopping is what you are interested in, Paseo de Gracia and Portal d’Angel can be found just off of Plaza Catalunya, a 10-minute walk. In between these famous shopping streets is the Corte Ingles department store where you can find a gourmet supermarket.

It is easy to get around the city right from the doorstep as public transport is efficient and ideally located next to the apartment. If you want to take a day trip via car to one of the luxurious beaches on the Costa Brava, you can be on the road within minutes thanks to the superbly designed highway system that surrounds Barcelona.

GETTING AROUND

Within 10-minutes’ walking you can be in Plaza Catalunya where you will find public transport to any spot in the city, such as the MNAC and Montjuic, as well as the bus to the airport or the Barcelona Tourist Bus. 10-minutes in the other direction will take you to the Arc de Triomf, and you will find the city’s Parc de la Ciutadella, ideal for a leisurely stroll or exercise. The Barcelona Zoo is inside the park, and just to the side is the bohemian Born neighborhood famous for artists, bars and restaurants. The Picasso museum and Palau Guell are both located within walking distance.

Nearby bus lines: 0-56-7-54-51-19 (Gran Via de les Cortes Catalanes).
Nearby metro stations: Yellow line L4 (Girona station) Purple Line L2 (Tetuan Station). Both situated 2-minutes’ walk away.

HOUSE RULES

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE FLAT (including the terrace).

SILENCE: It's a very quiet neighborhood and building, so after 10:00 pm things should be calmed down so we don't disturb the neighbors. The terrace cannot be used for gatherings after 10:00 pm.

As this is a residential building it is important to respect the neighbors. The locals are going about their daily lives and request a quiet and calm environment.

Please note that there is a mandatory tourist tax to be charged, imposed by the Catalan government of 6,05 euros per person per night (VAT included). Applies to all guests who have turned 17 years of age and above for the first 7 nights. This tax will be collected in EUROS at check-in.

On your arrival we will also ask you to fill in the mandatory register of tourists of the Catalan Police Department, and to sign your agreement to comply with the house rules.

LATE CHECK-INS:

Please note that there is a surcharge of 30 euros for check-ins between 21:00 hours and 00:00 hours. Check-ins after 00:00 hours have a surcharge of 50 euros.

Our first time to Barcelona and we loved the location of the apartment! The host gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and was so easy to work with. The apartment was as expected and advertised. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was well stocked if we wanted to. The location was perfect for walking to many of the popular sites. The only complaint was that the beds were on the hard side.

Great location to enjoy Barcelona

I had a lovely stay at this apartment in Barcelona. The apartment was in a great location that gives both the flavor of neighborhood life but also walking access to all the places you would want to visit. The terrace is a wonderful plus to start the day with coffee and breakfast and evening wine and appetizers before enjoying dinner. Check in was very easy with Johanna there upon my arrival, readily available to answer any questions and a no hassle check out. This is a great find. I highly recommend it.

Best vacation spot

My wife and two adult children stayed the week of May 3. Upon arrival Jorge and Johanna were very easy to reach and provided a quick overview of the property. The location is very convenient with most attractions in walking distance and the metro just around the corner. After each day enjoying Barcelona we welcomed getting to use the outdoor area of the place - nice spot with the sound of children playing at the school nearby and get a quick siesta. There is a convenient store within steps to obtain snacks, drinks and more. Checkout of super easy. We are sad to leave as we had such a great and memorable vacation. Thank you Jorge and Johanna!

This was the perfect place for our stay in Barcelona!

We have been to Barcelona several times - it is one of our favorite cities! This is not a new building - none of them in L’Eixample are, but it is a well maintained classic, has a locked entry attended and kept immaculately clean by the doorman, and an elevator. Our host Jorge was very helpful with recommendations via WhatsApp. Euros for the tax. The apartment is on the 1st Floor (second floor in the US) and is nicely appointed, updated and immaculately clean. The two additional bedrooms lie along the entry hall to the dining room. There is a small toilet/sink off the second bedroom. The laundry is along the main hall as well. The washer and dryer (you can figure it out - Google Translate can help) were quite welcome during our 8 day visit after our three week cruise. The main bath off the entry hall is quite large and tiled. Past that is the living room between the kitchen and the MBR with a sizeable closet, all with patio windows. The kitchen is well appointed with a halogen cook top, microwave, oven and dishwasher. The Euro controls are not familiar to many travelers but can easily be figured out, as well as the cook top espresso maker. Or Google it. The patio is large and welcoming, though we did not use it due to the cool weather and our daily trips into the city. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with a 20-25 minute walk to Passeig de Gracia, the Gothic Quarter or La Sagrada Familia. There are plenty of cafĂ©s, restaurants and groceries close by.

All around great choice for stay in Barcelona

Great location from which to explore with beauty and treasures of the city. The apartment was very comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen , comfy beds and was quiet !!!! The outdoor terrace was a real plus and a great place for coffee in the morning and a quiet place for a glass of wine in the evening. It was very nice having a friendly front doorman. I would chose to stay here again !

The vacational rental is in a great location - close to the Metro and wonderful neighborhood restaurants, but also quiet! We were a party of 6 and there was plenty of room, particularly with the large veranda. Jorge was very accessible and helpful. We had a wonderful stay in Barcelona!

We could not have asked for a better home away from home in Barcelona. The communication was excellent leading up to the trip, through check-in and through check-out. The apartment was so spacious and got wonderful light from the massive, private terrace. We felt like locals and being able to enjoy a beverage on the terrace while drinking and listening to the sounds of the neighborhood was a highlight. The location is absolutely perfect, in a beautiful neighborhood. There is a playground directly behind the building if you have little ones. The apartment was very clean, we had ample towels and pillows and the main bathroom is massive. Beds very comfortable, too. Highly recommend this unit!

3-day stopover in Barcelona

We had a great albeit short stay in Barcelona. The apartment is centrally located between Sagrada Familia and the Gothic Quarter with many excellent dining options nearby. The apartment is great - light-filled and roomy. The large patio is a huge plus. Jorge and Daniel were easy to reach and met us at the apartment to get checked in and shared some great dining options with us. I’d recommend the property to others without hesitation and would stay again if we come back through Barcelona

Barcelona for Christmas!

We had a great stay! Great communication with hosts beforehand. They even worked hard to move up our check in time so we could get into the apartment early and rest up from jetlag. Could use a few more towels and pillows, and maybe an extra blanket or two, but this is a great place in a great location if you're visiting Barcelona.
