The Neighborhood:
This stunning property is in Berkeley Springs, WV, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. It is a charming small town known for its natural beauty, historic appeal, and soothing mineral springs. Often called "America's First Spa," it has been a destination for relaxation and rejuvenation since colonial times, with its healing waters drawing visitors for centuries. The town's centerpiece, Berkeley Springs State Park, still offers the same natural mineral baths George Washington once enjoyed himself.
Known by many as âThe Austin of the Eastâ, Berkeley Springs boasts a vibrant arts scene with numerous galleries, antique shops, and local craft stores. Explore the Museum of the Berkeley Springs to dive into the town's rich history, or take a scenic hike through Cacapon State Park, where breathtaking mountain views and outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and golfing await.
Food lovers can indulge in farm-to-table dining at cozy local restaurants, while weekends bring lively festivals and events celebrating everything from apples to local art.
Berkeley Springs offers the perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and outdoor adventure.

Getting Around:
Unless you own a helicopter, I recommend getting around by car or preferably SUV. The last œ mile or so are on a single-lane gravel road. In the winter, AWD is highly recommended. The home is beautiful in the snow, but getting there through the snow without AWD is not.

The Nest is a perfect couples getaway tucked in the woods just outside the town of Berkley Springs. Everything was perfect from the private hot tub to the relaxed living quarters inside the home. I would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting everything you need in a nice size place for two!
We loved our stay at the Nest. It was a perfect place for just the two of us. Sitting in the hot tub each night was a highlight. It was a great touch to have cookies waiting for us upon our arrival.
I love that everything was clean and as pictured! We did go in the middle of the week, so a lot of good restaurants were closed, which we sort of knew in advance. We did find a gem of a place with Tonyâs butcher block. Definitely a must if youâre in the area! We also discovered Creekside provisions on the last day and it was hands-down the cutest shop in town! Communication and response time of host was fantastic!
Weekend getaway for my husband and I. This home was very clean. We had everything we needed. If youre looking for seclusion this is it, other then the house that sits right next to this one, but was still pretty private.
Nice get away for couples. Very close to Berkeley Springs, but tucked away in the woods. Newly renovated, and had fun games to play. The hosts were very nice!
We enjoyed our stay at this adorable place! The host was very attentive and made sure everything met our expectations. The house itself was immaculate and was perfect for our couple's getaway to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We highly recommend this property for a peaceful place to stay. The only negatives were that it was a little difficult to find the lane and the road was a bit rough (but it was worth it!).
The property was immaculate and certainly a very nice getaway for a weekend with your partner. All amenities were as described and the property was well taken care of inside and out. The hot tub was a perfect way to spend the evening relaxing even in the 25° weather. However, I would like to make a few suggestions for listing updates and property improvements. The listing does not clearly state that their is a 2nd building on the property that is extremely close and it's more of a family setting so children could possibly be present for your stay as they were for part of mine. That kind of takes away from the romantic setting all things considered. Also, I would strongly suggest making the parking areas separate from each other. It was extremely difficult to park my truck within the parking area with multiple vehicles parked at the other house. Lastly, one other property update would be to change the mulch path to a gravel or hardscaped path to reduce on the mud and dirt. Overall, the stay was a nice weekend and I appreciate the all the assistance provided throughout the check-in and out process.
my favorite âcabin in the woodsâ experience to date. everything was exactly as pictured/described â it had all the conveniences, luxuries, amenities, etc. you could ask for, for any length of stay. you can tell it was very thoughtfully designed and put together. I would live here 24/7 if I could. it was perfect for a weekend getaway for my partner and I. I hope we get to stay again in the future! 1000/10 experience :-) Iâd recommend this to anyone
