Beautiful Log House In Bolton In Lake George Paradise! Dog friendly!

3 bedroom Log House on large private lot with 25 foot cathedral ceiling. Internet/cable. Sleeps 8. There are 3 bedrooms, and a sleeping loft. Huge wrap around deck. Propane grill. Picnic table. About 5-10 minute walk to association beach. Perfect sand and great for kids. 1 mile north of downtown Bolton. Walking distance to "Up Yonda Farm"..a nature preserve with an easy hike to overlook the lake. The town of Bolton has 2 town beaches, tennis courts and a picnic area. Newly installed central air and high end generator to ensure power in storm. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 10:00 AM. In the winter month rentals you need 4 wheel drive. The road is plowed but without 4 wheel you will get stuck in the snow. We are pet friendly except not permitted on the beach per association.

Important note and required statement to renters per the association;

We are a family oriented, private association with Association Rules, which must be followed. Please limit how many people are permitted to occupy the house.

So in plain English, no out of control parties or more than 8 people on the property.

No outside fires are permitted! All docks are private and not available. Boats/ Kayaks / personal watercraft of any type on beach are private property of other home owners and not for use.

There was so much space and the house had everything we needed. We were lucky to be there for the first snow of the year and it was absolutely beautiful. Instructions were left for anything and everything which made it super easy and stress free. We loved our visit and would highly recommend for families. I think we played every board game in the house lol.

For starters, there is a reason why the owner does not show an outside picture of the entrance to the property. The area to the left of the door was filled with junk. (see pic)Next we walked into a room that was not shown on the website and was disheveled. (see pic) A musty smell also greeted us the minute we walked in the door.There were 13 steps that you had to haul suitcases up that was not listed on the Vrbo site. The wall on the right of the steps was a piece of wood with unfinished drywall flanking either side of the wood. (see pic)In the master bedroom, there were 4 double socket outlets, all of which only had one socket working. Three had the top socket working and one was the bottom socket.After walking out on the deck, we could not secure the sliding glass door because the lock was broken which left the cabin unsecured. We were told days later by a Vrbo rep. that we were supposed to place a wooden board provided by the owner in the track of the door to secure it.There was a huge dusty cobweb in the living room area and several other cobwebs throughout including the dining room chandelier. (see pics)Although listing stated towels were included, we were never able to locate any bathing wash cloths (which are typically included when it states towels are provided).The washer and dryer were located in a storage room and the dryer was not vented. No hose was attached to the dryer and lint was accumulating in the area surrounding the dryer. (see pic) Fire hazard!

Host was awesome! Answered questions quickly and allowed an early check in when we got to the area faster than we thought. The house is huge and has plenty of space for a large family. Tons of movies for everyone to watch and some games to play too. My only issues would be: I thought we would be closer to the beach, the walk back from the beach was a killer hill and you couldn’t park anywhere down at the beach.

Needs a little TLC

This home was suitable for our two night stay. The grass was not cut, and I brought my two dogs. The house is situated on a large hill so everytime i had to take them out was a workout. Everything was in working order, just needs a little updating.

Wonderful Cabin and Dog Friendly!

The cabin was beautiful. The area is perfectly located so that you can enjoy all that Lake George and the town has to offer while still getting the gorgeous views of nature. So dog friendly, multiple areas to take your pups! Owner had dog dishes available for water for our pups. Absolutely will stay here again!

Pioneer village home

The home was amazing plenty of space for the whole family we all had a great stay at the home. The movie selection was great and was nice to unplug for a bit and watch movies with the family. The only problem I had was the road entering home is a bit challenging even with 4x4 the top portion was all ice and made almost impossible to climb but luckily neighbors were great and they had someone come sand within hour which fixed the issue. Will def stay again maybe summer next time if available

Cabin is perfect and spacious

My adult daughter, our dog and I had a comfortable weekend at this lovely cabin in the woods. Neighbors were nearby but we had privacy and all the comforts of home. Many restaurants were close by in town. Relaxing stay.

Great Family Vacation Spot

The house was comfortable and well equipped. The host was friendly and accommodating. A drawback was that the walk to the beach was down a steep hill. The grandchildren were up to it but it was challenge for me. We also had dogs and the space was well situated for them also. Because getting to the main living area required stairs, this would not be a good space for someone with mobility issues. However, with three levels and a deck there was plenty of room ro spread out.

Lake George

We went up to NY for a wedding we were in and the house was perfect! We walked to the association beach, which was beautiful, and the location of the house is private in the woods! Beautiful sunlight comes in the big windows in the mornings and they have almost every DVD you could imagine! All around an awesome house!
