Our stay was nice. Well-appointed house. Few suggestions though - owner should trim back the branches of tree that has branches against the house as when the winds pick up (and they do) it make it impossible to sleep in the bedroom near tree since the branches are constantly banging into the side of the house. Also since the garage entry was locked, we had to bring all our luggage around the front of house and up the stairs. The advertising highlighted bikes but we did not see any as they must have been locked in the garage.
Overall we were pleased with the property. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. The house was warm and inviting. We spent a lot of time in the family room which accommodated all of us easily. There were some issues with internet access and operating the thermostat. The thermostat got resolved but we continued to have issues with internet access, especially for those of us that were trying to check work emails etc. Our host was very responsive but the internet continued to be spotty. We were not able to get the tvs to work. The one in the main bedroom would not even come on. We were busy with other things didnât really have time to contact the host about the tvs.The surrounding neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house located easily to grocery shopping, downtown, and the wedding venues we were attending. It would have been helpful to have an information/instructions booklet on how to operate tvs, internet access, thermostat, etc. Most places have some type of information booklet. The step down from the foyer into the living area and dining room is dangerous. The floors are the same color and it is difficult to see the step unless you are paying close attention. A rug, caution step down with runner/tape or something needs to show the change in floor elevation.Overall we liked the place and enjoyed our time.
Great house with lots of amenities. Loved the backyard patio. Our group loved sitting out there in the evenings. Fully stocked kitchen. Host was very attentive to any questions. Great location !!
This is a tough review for me to give - very mixed. The positives are that the home is in a great neighborhood and location and it is spacious. We were in Boulder for our daughter's wedding and the home was a little over 4 miles from the wedding venue (The Greenbriar), which was awesome. Also, we loved having 4 bathrooms - one in the basement, one on the first floor, and two on the second floor. All of them had showers with very good water pressure. Also, we loved having 5 bedrooms. Two in the basement (one with a king, other a queen), no bedroom on first floor, and 3 on the second floor (one king is a huge primary bedroom), other 2 have queen beds.Unfortunately, there were negatives and glitches during our stay - cleaners arrived while we were checking in at 3:00 pm, had trouble with the front door code, primary second floor bedroom door locked and we needed a special code to reopen it (really odd that it had a coded lock), patio needed cleaning..... All of this was resolved upon contacting Chip. The outside landscaping needs attention (it is overgrown and nothing like the photo) and upon entering the home be aware that the foyer is raised. Thus, the family room, study, and dining room are all sunken. A definite hazard for tripping as one of our guests did trip and fall, but was okay.
Our family, including our 2 grandchildren, stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. Plenty of space including a very comfortable master suite with rain shower as well as separate large tub. Really loved the outdoor patio - lots of seating. Easy proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. Host was very good with communication. I would just suggest they print a sheet with âhouse infoâ like where to find soap (upstairs closet), exiting instructions and WiFi info. Great stay - wish weâd stayed longer.
First the Positives: The layout was great! We had a family of 4 (kids 2 and 4) that used the lower level which was basically soundproof with door closed. The master upstairs is spacious and keeps very cool with 2 A/C vents. The other 2 bedrooms upstairs had plenty of space and well decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Even the portable crib had a nice mattress. Chip was very responsive to my texts/issues. (wrong door code and no WiFi info or house manual)Negatives: Thereâs no house manual. No instructions for checkout. Where to put garbage, what to do with beds or towels. Nothing. So we emptied the fridge, loaded/ran the dishwasher put the thermostat to 70 and locked the door. Place needs general upkeep. The backyard has great seating and amenities. But was loaded with leaves/debris and cushions were dirty. The grounds havenât been cared for in awhile. The master bathroom has 2 sinks but only 1 works. And the shower drain is on one side but the water goes to the other through the glass door and floods the floor. With thermostat at 66 the master was almost cold but the other 2 insufferable. Luckily there were a couple cooler nights for open windows. This house has great bones and great location. Fit 9 of us perfectly. Just needs some fixes.
