Opal Sands Resort
"Lovely location. Booked a suite with kitchenette, but it was very basic. No utensils or crockery provided. Don’t order the pizza- we ordered from room service and it was inedible- about an inch thick with cheese and very sloppy. Carpets and rugs were dirty in the suite, chips were left on the rug ..."

"Had a limited amount of time in Tampa, but booked an evening flight so we could spend our only free day utilizing the pool and outdoor area. When we arrive to check in, I was told the pool was closed, under construction and not expected to open until the last week of June. I think an email from the ..."

"Very nice staff. Clean rooms. Would have loved some free coffee in the lobby and water by the pool. Parking with "convenience fee" and taxes worked out to right at $35 per night. In the shopping areas (tourist side) you pay for parking almost everywhere by phone. Not sure what happens if you don't ..."

Sailport Waterfront Suites
"Perfect location with super beachy amenities! The employees claim that all the rooms have a bay view, but the best view is from any room that faces the mini beach. Some rooms are DRASTICALLY cleaner than others. The room with the best location, view and size, 439, was unfortunately the dirtiest. Whoever cleaned it maybe used 1 Clorox wipe for a 3-bedroom condo. The fridge and freezer had stickiness on all the shelves. The windowsills had an assortment of bugs, dirt, crumbs and dust. I found thick lint, the kind one would empty out of a drier, COATED onto the electrical outlets behind the bedside table in the main bedroom. Besides creating a fire hazard, this part of the room hadn’t been cleaned in months, if not years. The ceiling was leaking significantly, needing towels for the floor. All the cabinetry and countertops were very outdated, and the only smart TV was in the living room. The other room I stayed in was much smaller, but had a smart TV in every room. The kitchen had granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The only drawback was a constantly running toilet despite the “maintenance” that came to “fix” it. Spoiler alert: it was never fixed. The food at the tiki bar was beyond delicious and I recommend eating there as often as possible. The mini beach in front of the bay was supplied with tiki torches, chairs, and tiny tables with palm tree umbrellas. Watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves against the rocks provided the ultimate calm."
