How close is Capitola Village Bungalow - 2 Blocks from the Sand to the airport?
This apartment is 11.4 mi (19-min drive) away from the Watsonville, CA (WVI-Watsonville Municipal) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
Wonderful location close to the beach and downtown shopping, restaurants and coffee spots. Challenging to find parking nearby on busy weekends, but persistence will pay off. Only cleanliness issue encountered was a towel used by previous guest still hanging in bathroom. Otherwise, VERY clean and pleasant. Two showers were small, but not difficult to regulate like some comments state. I would return!!
I arrived at the property at check in and residence was not cleaned. I reached out to management and was told "let me see IF I can get someone out there" Upon my fit, I was relocated, but the replacement property had no parking any where close. After a melt down, I was partially refunded. The conclusion did not match the debacle. I planed this trip for weeks, I took vacation time, I drove 3/1/2 hour there only to be turned around and drive 4 1/2 hours home. Wasting a vacation day, 80. in fuel and little concern for the extreme inconvienance and disappointment this caused. The rest of my money has to be refunded. No compensation was offered and very little concern about the situation was offered. What was not known to management company was that I am a recent widow and this trip was an attempt at rebuilding my life and finding my way with out my spouse. Instead of a relaxing trip, it was a nightmare. Had the management company been symathetic, offered more than "let me see if I can get someone out there" or relocating me to a residence that did not even offer the ability to unload was salt in my wounds.
We enjoyed our location, and the permit for parking, the fans, kitchen, tvs, towels and linen, and comfortable beds.
It would be good to have information up front about the showers (one doesnât work and the other takes forever to get hot, at a counter intuitive faucet position, only told to us after trying to reach an ONeil rep and waiting to hear back). Also, we never got hot water in the kitchen sink.
The internet connection went out, so that affected tv Netflix one day. Not sure if thatâs Park Pl or internet orovider.
But overall, we enjoyed our time.
Thank you.
It may be quaint but not user friendly. The steps are steep,
the layout is confusing. The bathrooms are tiny, the sinks were clogged and tiny, the showers were tiny. We were able to negotiate a refund from the owner for a portion of our stay.
We loved the space - the owners definitely made the most out of a very small space. The apartment is beautiful, well stocked with everything you need for a stay, and right by the beach. The only issue we had was that it was a little crowded - and bathrooms were tiny. Might be difficult for someone tall or wide to navigate.
Loved our stay there. Very much matched the description, and was right in the middle of Capitola Village. Everything was an easy walk, including the beach, and made for a very nice beach weekend getaway for us.
The space was small, the showers and bathrooms especially, so if you're looking for supreme luxury there's a slight miss there. But, the payoff is great proximity at a great rate. And the bedrooms, family room, and porch were excellent places to hang out with plenty of space and comforts.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we all agreed, kids included, we definitely want to stay here again!
The property is spotless; parking was easy with the permit. It was and short and pleasant walk to the beach and many restaurants and boutiques. It was fun to hangout on the private balcony and take in the sights! There were also interesting views from every window; I could watch the sunrise over the nearby cliffs. The neighbors were also very friendly. And since I was "working from home" while staying there I was happy that the internet was very fast and good for zoom meetings. Highly recommend!
