Stunning Mountaintop Home Minutes from Boat Launch

Come get away from it all at this modern mountain cabin. Driving the two miles of private country road to this retreat, you will experience the peace and quiet of forest living and fresh mountain air. Although you are only eight short highway miles from the restaurants and amenities of downtown Cd’A, the simplicity of a mountain home will be yours.

Public golf courses are available to you in Cd’A, or 15 miles south you can golf at renowned Circling Raven Golf Course. Two private golf courses are also within 10 miles: Black Rock, and CDA National Reserve. The Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's paved bike path, 20 minutes away, takes you on a ride across the paved train trestle at Chatcolet and the lakeside town of Harrison. Four miles away is a public boat launch and dock at Mica Bay.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: This home has two comfortable bedrooms. The master suite upstairs has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom and large walk-in shower. The second bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and two large view windows. Just around the corner from the second bedroom is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

INDOOR LIVING: The modern kitchen has top of the line appliances, granite countertops, and a large variety of cookware and dishes. Included is a microwave, convection oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, deep sink, coffee maker, blender and toaster. A glass-topped dining table for four is perfect for sharing your day’s experiences. A gas fireplace and large flat screen TV make the end of your day comfortable and warm.

OUTDOOR LIVING: A gas barbecue is located on the expansive deck, along with outdoor seating and a dining table for four. A washer and dryer are located in the home for your convenience. You will have a cable TV with full package options, WiFi, a Bose sound system synced with Blue Tooth, and A/C. Cell service is very good, especially with Verizon. PLEASE NOTE: The key provided in the lockbox and Season’s book does work for all doors throughout the home. To lock the doors, lift the handle up while locking the door with the key. We please ask that all trash is disposed of during your stay and or upon your departure at the local Kidd Island dump just down the road across the highway.

Enjoy this special hide-away for anniversary celebrations or honeymoons, or experience the quiet and peace you need to author your book or paint your masterpiece. The cabin is just off the IRON MAN and Cd’A Triathlon bike route. You will enjoy sun rises and moon rises over the lake, and dark skies full of stars from the large decks surrounding the cabin. The setting is beautiful in every season. Come and experience close-to-everything mountain living. Monthly rentals are available during the shoulder and off-season. High Quality and Relaxing!

This property was one of the best we've stayed at in our travels. Everything in the house was clean, high end, and good quality, making our stay enjoyable. We even ended up cooking many meals there instead of going out because it was so relaxing. This cabin was only 15 minutes away from the city and the lake, but felt far removed and quiet. Our experience here was quite good--the cabin was in a peaceful wooded setting with beautiful views over the valley floor below. It was cozy w/o being cramped, well appointed, well maintained. This cabin is immaculate and beautiful. The view is majestic. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with mother nature, this is the place. The drive up to the cabin is on a single lane road with crazy switchbacks - you never know when you might come face to face with an elk.

Mountain cabin just south of Coeur d’ Alene

The property was set only two miles off of the highway but a thousand feet above lake Coeur d’ Alene. So, access to town was easy and it was quiet and serene. The wrap around deck provided both views of the lake and views of the wooded nature surrounding the cabin. The facility was clean, comfortable and decked out with luxurious amenities.

Excellent location if you want to escape from town. Located at the top of a mountain, this is a beautiful and comfortable cabin. So relaxing to drink coffee on the deck looking out at the view. The sunrises were fabulous! We met the owner and he answered all of our questions about Coeur d'Alene. Hoping to return and enjoy another week.

We had everything we needed and then some! It was so easy to just relax and take it in. Very clean and well appointed home! WiFi was a little slow but we managed. Cooked our own meals, watched a lot of TV and enjoyed the people we were with. Owner is very personable and attentive to any need you might have. No mistake in making this booking. We accidentally discovered that Buck knives are made here and that was a fun visit. Nice people there! Would love to stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful home and stunning location! House was beautifully appointed and cared for, and had comfortable beds and linens. The porch was our favorite place to be, both early morning and again in the evening after our outings. We loved this home!! My only suggestion would be to find a way to cool the upstairs master bedroom better, as it was much warmer up there than downstairs, even with the AC pushed down to 65 at night. (Temps were around 90 outside during the day) Downstairs was very cool and comfortable. Will definitely stay again if we are back in the area!

My husband and I rented this cabin and it was fantastic. It had all the kitchen items that we needed, washer/dryer, lots of towels, two lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and the million dollar view with a large and beautiful patio, where I spent hours!! The photos are exactly how the rental looks. We loved being away from a lot of people in our own slice of heaven, looking at the best view in the area! After watching for wildlife for several days, we finally were able to see a mama moose with her two babies as we left the property. So cool!

This was by far my favorite VRBO. Make sure you follow the directions to cabin once you are on Sausser Dr or you might think you passed the drive. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We loved being in the cabin so much we ate breakfast and dinner there everyday. Sitting on the huge wrap around porch was my absolute favorite. The pictures do not do the view justice. It actually got to 100 degrees while we were there and never got hot sleeping upstairs as mentioned in another review. Close enough to town to get whatever you need but far enough that you get the in the woods feel. Met the homeowners while they were out walking. Very sweet and helpful couple. Will absolutely stay here again.

Incredible Views!

Wonderful stay! My daughter and I rented this property for a visit to Idaho during 4th of July week to visit family in the area . It was amazing!!! Home is well laid out and lives bigger than the actual size. The deck allows for outdoor living and is covered for shade and rain protection along with parts in the sun to enjoy warmth in the early morning and evening hours. Place has everything you need. We hosted a family bbq with 8 adults and 2 toddlers and all enjoyed. Bathrooms are roomy and both have windows. Really nice!!Road to house is up a hill it not bad and after first time up it’s a quick up and down. Only 10 minutes to CDA. Had one issue with TV and response was immediate from 4 seasons. Wally the owner lives above and came down to help. Wally was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Great stay and will definitely be back!!!

Slice of heaven on earth

This beautiful mountaintop home is even better than the pictures! The home was immaculately clean and had all the amenities to make it feel like our home away from home. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the deck, especially the gorgeous sunrises. The location was secluded, restful and quiet but close enough to downtown Coeur d’Alene to make it extremely convenient. Wally and Dawn are gracious hosts and we hope to visit this fabulous home again.
