My review might seem contradictory but— we stayed here for one night after a long day of driving. The room was clean and spacious. The staff member who checked us in was super helpful and recommended the Mexican restaurant in the hotel for our supper. It was amazing. But… we did find two baby roaches in our bathroom. There are worse critters to find so we were fine, but it was a bit of a jump scare and unfortunately negatively impacts the otherwise great stay.

Modest Accommodations

This is a VERY modest hotel. Although the staff is very gracious, some upgrades and maintenance are needed. The towels were very old and scratchy. On our second night there was a leak in the ceiling which required a room change at 1 am. Again, the staff was gracious but the accommodations are minimal. Even just a few upgrades, eg, soft towels, good coffee, breakfast pastries, etc. would have help.

Clean room

I stayed here for 5 nights, it was mostly quiet, the room was nice and clean, zero issues. I felt safe. Friendly personnel. I recommend it.

You get what you pay for

When I found this hotel, the price was cheap and the reviews were decent. I did not have the same experience as those who made the other reviews. The desk staff were not friendly (not rude, just not friendly). The room had an odd smell when we arrived. There were two leather chairs in the room and all of the leather material was peeling away from the chairs. The bed was hard. However, the room was pretty clean. The shower had lots of hot water. And the location was pretty good.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable there. Very clean and could relax.. will be my resting place anytime we pass through Kentucky. Wish every hotel had staff like this.
