Charming Riverfront Cottage with stunning views of the Susquehanna River

Relax in this quaint cottage that sits directly on the Susquehanna River with amazing views of the river, mountains and sunsets!

Step back into a simpler time and enter the beauty and charm of this two story house featuring a large wrap around deck from which you can watch eagles fly over the river. Walk right down to the water's edge and enjoy the river directly from the property. Fish from the shore, or use one of our 6 kayaks to explore the Susquehanna and it's lush islands. The house features 2 private bedrooms and 2 large open loft areas which offer multiple beds for our guests (please see bedroom descriptions below for complete overview).

The house features two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower combo and the other with a shower. Split System Air Conditioning/Heating units have been added throughout the house for our guest's comfort. Outside offers a concrete patio making it easy to spend time near the river. The dining room has a large table that seats 10, and has a breakfast bar that seats three, all while providing stunning views of the river.

The house is easy to get to - just off of 22/322 in Dauphin, within a short driving distance of all Central PA attractions (Downtown Harrisburg, Hershey Park, Gettysburg, Lancaster, etc.). Convenient location in Central PA makes a perfect spot to meet friends and relatives from surrounding states. Only 25 minutes from the Harrisburg International Airport. Uber services are available in our area in case you wish to leave your car at home.

The house was very cozy; we truly enjoyed our stay. If you are a family traveling, it's a nice sized home. Our only issues were the upstairs is completely open, you can hear everything going on downstairs when you try and sleep. The beds and pillows also have plastic covering on them, every time someone rolled over you could hear the crinkling. There was also only 1 television in the entire house, which was in the Livingroom. My father needed a TV to fall asleep, so he slept on the couch the entire stay. To our family these were small inconveniences compared to the view and outdoor space the property offers. I must also mention, I have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one had EVERYTHING you could need. The host was very generous with the amenities. I was thoroughly impressed by all she offered, from soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, fans available in every room, etc... You won't be disappointed if you stay in this cabin. It is not luxurious, but it's quite charming and I felt right at home. I only listed the other things, so people are aware before booking. I would hate for this fantastic host to get a negative review because people didn't understand what all the property entails, due to the little quirks you might encounter. I traveled with my spouse, 23yr old autistic daughter, 72yr old father and 17yr old daughter. We all loved the place; we would book here again.

What a a great place to stay and fish or just jump in the river canoes kayaks just get your river on! Kids will love it and very safe flow on the river just beautiful! Lots of parking for drift boats and soo much outdoor space to enjoy its big but very cozy feels like your grandparents home you always want to come back too have no regrets renting this place kids old folks even wife will enjoy all the conveniences it’s got everything you would want. Shower products kitchen is tricked out with everything just bring clothes and some adult beverages and you’ll feel your home

Our stay was the 17th thru 20th.A family get together.A beautiful view.All very comfortable & clean.Pam was top notch with communication.I only wish there had been a dock, as shown in the listing.We were surprised to arrive & see no dock.My son left some clothes behind.Pam was kind enough to contact us about that.That was appreciated.Enjoyed the Firepit & 2 little ones enjoyed the s’mores!

Fantastic visit

The place is in great shape and has everything you could want. Lots of space with tables and chairs for eating. . Grill clean and working with extra propane. Kayaks for fun on the river and adirondack chairs for the "life guards" AKA parents. Lawn for kids to run around. AC worked great as well as TV - watched some golf and tennis. Wedding weekend

We stayed at the River House for a long weekend with extended family while in the area for a wedding at Manor at Mountain View. The location was ideal. The weather was hot (90s) but the covered porch with overhead fans, water views and adequate AC were all great for relaxing and catching up.

Family Hershey trip

So happy we decided to rent this brb for our hershey park trip instead of a hotel. Everything about this property was great! Wonderful mesmerizing views and comfortable accommodations all in one! Pam was a great host and was able to meet all of our needs or questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend staying here, it meets the needs of anyone really, big groups/small groups, and its a quaint cottage surrounded with all the beauty in nature:)

Fabulous retreat

Our family and friends stayed here for 3 nights while visiting local colleges. It was a wonderful retreat. We grilled overlooking the river and sat around the fire pit watching the sunset. The house had everything we needed and more. Pam was an excellent host and everything went very smoothly. We’s absolutely return.

We had a great time at the house. Everything was clean, easily accessible, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the views of the river and even got out kayaking one morning. Our host was responsive and easy to get in touch with. I look forward to staying here again.
