"The RIU is one of the better hotels in the area when staying in Panama City. The breakfast could use some change if you’re staying for longer than a week, I grew tired of eating the same stale food.
The coffee machine needed to be changed in my room due to its cleanliness, and the refrigerator too, due to its leaking.
The hotel wireless was slow and there’s a limit to how many devices you could use per room with a maximum of 4. If you have a lot of work and personal devices, this presents a small inconvenience.
I didn’t use the pool so I can’t opine on how it’s like, but each day that I was there I could see people enjoying themselves.
Due to its sheer volume of guests at all times, it wasn’t surprising to see the elevator surroundings and walls needing cleaning.
You should also know that not all facilities and restaurants were open, just a cafe, one restaurant and the gym.
Considering all the other hotels in the area, I’d say it was pleasant enough."
