Tucked Away Timber Lower Suite

Sit back, relax and enjoy your stay in this beautiful hand-scribed log home that is tucked away in the woods, yet less than 3 minutes from the airport and only 10 minutes to downtown. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, lower suite is on the ground level of a duplex and even has a heated garage! This home is open and bright and has all the comforts and amenities of your own home to include smart TVs, highspeed internet and WIFI.

What is not to love about this beautiful log home! This updated suite has it all to make you feel right at home. The living, dining and fully stocked kitchen area is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and hanging out with family and friends! There is a comfy recliner and couch to relax on while cozying up by the fireplace and watching your favorite shows and movies through Netflix and Hulu on the large smart Tv. With lots of windows and a great little layout in this suite, it truly does showcase the beautiful Alaskan log beams throughout!

Don't worry about parking outside in the winter because this VRBO includes a heated garage stall for your car or small suv.

Each of the 2 bedrooms has a closet and queen size bed with quality mattresses and linens. One of the bedrooms even has a wall-mounted smart TV for you to enjoyment!

If you are traveling with little ones, we do have a pack'n play that is available upon request.

There is also a shared washer and dryer in the garage that is available for use during your stay.

Please reach out if you may be interested in booking both suites to have the entire building to yourself for larger groups. The upper suite sleeps 6 adults and is 3 bedrooms with a full bathroom, kitchen, and large living room.

Guests can access the home through the shared entryway. Your door code will work for the front entrance and your suite only. The yard is a shared space with the upper suite. Guests may park in the garage on the left side. Please do not block the right side garage or detached shop.

We live nearby and are typically available within minutes for issues or questions if needed.

Safe and quite neighborhood.

This unit has a heated garage stall on the left side of the shared garage. Most cars and small SUV's should fit inside the garage. Plenty of parking outside next to the home. Please do not park in front of the right-side garage or the detached shop.

This home is the lower unit of a Duplex, there may be some noise transfer of guests, but we do have have quiet hours posted. Both units are available for rent through VRBO. Guests share the yard, garage, entryway, and laundry area. The bathroom does not have a bathtub, instead it is a full-size walk-in shower.

It was a wonderful home away from home for 28 days!!! We were there over the holidays and was SO happy to see a little Christmas tree had been set up for us!!! Having the laundry right there for us to use was fantastic. The heated garage was a God send in the -40 weather. The backyard trees covered in snow was like a winter wonderland every time we opened the curtains. Very well stocked kitchen...we cooked & baked and everything we needed was available. 15 minutes to the heart of downtown made everything so accessible. Doordash & instacart left everything we needed right outside the garage door, VERY convenient! Fantastic hosts....couldn't have asked for more!

Overall I really loved this property. It was clean, the washer/dryer was very convenient. It had a coffee maker along with other appliances. The welcome snacks were also very convenient especially after a long trip. Communication was great and wifi worked very well. I would definitely recommend and return to this property.

Great Place, Well-stocked

Great place. Clean. Just enough room for our small family. The best part though, was finding that there was not only coffee, but coffee creamer in the fridge for us! AND there was an assortment of little goodies in the cabinet, like oatmeal, ramen, and microwave popcorn - perfect for a between-meal snack. It was those little details that truly took the stay from good to great- thank you!

Loved the peaceful atmosphere, and the convenience. Over all cleanliness, was good, the bathroom fan needed attention, and the area rugs were a bit dirty for me. We had WiFi the first night, not the whole next day or night. But overall, we would stay again.

I feel very comfortable there. The log structure just invites you to stay. The beds are quite comfortable. It is cozy, secure, and relaxed. The shower is real joy.

The actual property was clean and very welcoming. It is up to date and still provides the rustic feel. All appliances are modern and work perfectly. Bathroom fixtures are high quality. The place is fully stocked with cookware, extra toiletries, and even a washer and dryer for light packing individuals. It is tucked away and very convenient to the airport and provides timely access to a number of attractions in the interior of Alaska. The other properties surrounding the property are dilapidated or not well maintained. If your thing is scenic views, you will not receive them here. If you are in the bottom suite expect to hear the sound of people walking around above. If you want to use the outside space, the patio is small and crowded by landscaping. it still is an excellent space to stay while in Fairbanks!

Cute and comfortable cabin in a good location in Fairbanks. We enjoyed our short stay on our way to Denali. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and clean. It was nice to be able to park the car in the garage. Extra touches were very much appreciated.

Fiber Festival 2023!

We loved having a secure garage to pull into with our SUV. It was a tiny bit snug- single doors, and we just fit into the side with the washer/dryer, but it fit our needs perfectly. The space had every amenity we could think of/ask for. Very cozy, secure, quiet place to rest. We'll book again!

Fabulous stay in Fairbanks!

We stayed at this rental at the beginning and end of our week in Alaska. It was definitely the nicest place we stayed - well located, great hosts, had everything we needed and very close to the airport. One note - even though this is a ground level unit - there are stairs involved. You can come and go through the garage door to avoid the stairs, but there is no garage door opener. My travel buddy is elderly so I know that can matter. I let her in and out through the garage & I did the stairs. That worked out well for us.

Fairbanks Rental

This was a great rental for our time in Fairbanks! Great hosts, comfortable apartment that had everything we needed, close to the things we wanted to do & right by the airport. Our flight came in at midnight- so great that we had a very short drive yo our beds! Easy to access, great communication with our hosts before and after arrival! Highly recommend if you are staying in Fairbanks!

Very Nice Stay

The cabin is very clean and cozy. We stayed at downstairs but our upstairs neighbors are very quiet and not disturbing at all. Thanks for providing a lot of amenities. Shampoos and shower gel are family friendly brands. It’s close to Fairbanks airport, which is close to our Arctic Circle flyover tour, very convenient for us.

Better than advertised

We’ve stayed in so many VBRO, and let me tell you - some need to pay their photogs extra. This place is THE ONE that is not as advertised, rather it’s better than advertised! The cabin is incredible. Every comfort feature from coffees and creams at the ready, room with TV, comfy couches, great views, wonderful shower, firm beds, garage and laundry!!! Safe area too! I would stay here for weeks on end if I could!

Cozy place, but too noisy

This rental is a very cozy Alaskan themed place. It was very clean and the beds in it pretty comfy. Awesome artwork and the walk in shower was fabulous. The location is also very good and especially for those who are flying in and out of Fairbanks. The biggest issue we had with this place was noise from the upstairs unit. As one other reviewer described it was worse than a hotel. My suggestion to the owner is that some soundproofing be done or just rent the place as a whole house. We stayed for 3 weeks and each time a new upstairs renter came I was messaging the owner asking her to make the renters aware of the noise transfer. She did do that and for the most part the renters tried to be respectful, except the last renter on our last day. I think that noise transfer needs to be a part of the VRBO listing for both the upper and lower unit. I'm sure the people upstairs didn't realize how the noise they were making was being heard downstairs. They probably had no idea that they didn't have any privacy either. We could hear everything being said. I do hope the owner will take this review to heart, it is intended to be helpful for the sake of the first impression made on people visiting Fairbanks.
