For those who would prefer a stay at a resort, or a cabin that doesn't require traveling across a "scary" mountain road to get to, White Oak Retreat is an elegant and immaculate choice residing in the White Oak Lodge & Resort in Cobbly Nob between Gatlinburg and Cosby, TN. This 2 story, 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom will be one to remember; and we'll tell you what makes it that memorable right here!

On a corner lot of the resort sits White Oak Retreat. Inside is a polished and well-furnished main level and upstairs with plenty of space for all to breathe and find comfort. The main level is an open floor plan design that has the living room, dining area and kitchen as one room. The living room has upscale leather sofas gathered around a fireplace with a huge HDTV suspended above it. Behind the den space is a smaller but fully appointed kitchen that features everything needed for any meal of the day - microwave, toaster, coffee maker, oven, stove and cookware. Nearby is a dining table that seats 6. Both bedrooms are on this floor; a king-sized master bedroom and a bedroom with two queen beds.

Upstairs is a similarly spacious loft level/bedroom/game room that features two twin beds, smart television, air hockey table, foosball table, board games, and screen balcony access.

There are two decks at the rear of the house: the aforementioned screen balcony at the top level and a larger portion of screened-in deck below with seats, table and a private hot tub. There is a decent chance you will see wildlife at this cabin, especially from the back, but we encourage you to leave all food inside the house and throw trash away in approved containers and never do anything with the wildlife except take pictures from a smart distance.

There is one security camera on the exterior of the cabin. This camera is always on but can only see outside the cabin, the front door and porch area.

High speed wireless internet is available throughout the property. Towels and linens are provided.

This cabin rental was beyond what we expected. It is absolutely lovely. Open floor plan, clean and spacious. Loved the amenities with the games upstairs. The wooded area behind the residence provided seclusion and privacy. The hosts were great!

Cleanliness was moderate. We found some hair in the sink, some candy by the couch, some hair on the sheets of the bed and the utensils seemed to a little dirty. The location was good for a weekend away but a little far from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so trips into town were long. Overall very nice, I would stay again!

Great spot. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. My family enjoyed the pool and the location was near enough to the hiking and things we wanted to do, near enough to Gatlinburg but away from the crowds. We really enjoyed staying here.

Beautiful cabin which was very clean. had plenty linens and towels. we really enjoyed the pool area. Location was great for hiking and for spending time in Gatlinburg. I would definitely book this cabin again.

I spent a wonderful long weekend in Gatlinburg enjoying a bit of skiing on Ober Mountain. After the slopes, I would come back to this cozy cabin and warm up by the fireplace and soothe my tired muscles in the hot tub. I will DEFINITELY be back!

What an amazing place you have! Thank you for having a Christmas tree in the living room, made the cabin feel more honey! Loved the location, not close but bit far from the town. Everyone was perfect from having everything we need to cook, the hot tub was extra special for those longs days of walking and exploring the town.

The house was super clean and we really enjoyed our stay! It had more than enough blankets and towels which was awesome, I always feel like these places never have enough. The listing showed two rocking chairs on the front porch and there was only one, I assume the 2nd one was broken between the listing and now. It didn’t make or break the our vacation but we did use the front porch a lot while my kids played out front. Beds were comfy and so were showers. There was no check out process either in an email or in a book in the house so I hope we did it right. Would definitely stay again!
