The room was nothing like the pictures on the travel sites. The carpet needed steam cleaning to remove stains. The doors did not seal well, could still see light from the outside. The bathroom room ceiling needed attention due the spots of mold and mildew. The room keys kept losing their programming so I had to go several times to get them reprogrammed. The staff while for the most part were nice, on one occasion while having the keys reprogrammed they were not thrilled with having to do it. They then told me that an iPhone will unprogram the keys. So it sounds to me like they need to update their systems.

Check in was a mess and the ngr had an attitude. Our room smelled like urine and the rugs were soiled and stained. A whole can of Lysol did no good. We left two days early.

The first room was awful! Stains on the carpet, weird smell, outlets not working. They offered to change us to a different room and what a difference! Make sure you ask for a renovated room. The breakfast area is very small so we brought it to our room and food was good. Location was great for convenience of walking everywhere downtown.

Pros, convenient check in, on site parking. Cons: Stink bugs in room, broken balcony door, trip hazard entrance door, window unit heater was either too hot or got cold, bed was ok, tv reception very poor. Very loud garbage pickup at 3 AM, barking dogs and crying kids. This one goes on the do not repeat list.

Check in was spectacular!! Dynene was awesome...super nice and accommodating!!! The room was wonderful....spacoius and clean. It could use some cosmetic updating but that's not important. The view outside, on the strip, was great (especially to people watch). You can definitely hear the sounds from the street. The tub was a nice perk for soaking after a long day of walking!! The indoor pool felt warm on Tuesday but too cool to get in on Wednesday. Thank you for a great stay (especially Dynene). Will be back!

Room was mostly updated and clean. The bathtub was old and stained. The water ran brown with sediment when turned on but cleared up after a few seconds. They gave us 2 towels for 4 people and there was no hand soap in the room, just a used bottle of hair conditioner by the sink outside of the bathroom. Initially, when I called the front desk, they told me they didn’t have soap or towels. After a few calls, someone finally brought us 2 more towels and a used bottle of body wash to wash our hands. Lol. The location was PERFECT for our competition at the convention center and walking distance to restaurants and other attractions.

The staff was amazing! Best location, everything is walking distance. The room size is big you can even have an air mattress if needed. There was a few stains on the carpet just need more detailed cleaning but overall it was really good.

Roach Motel alert!!!  Staying at the Wander Hotel in Gatlinburg is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life.  There were baby roaches crawling everywhere and of different varieties.  They were crawling in and out of the back of the toilet, behind the mini fridge, behind the microwave up the wall, and out the cracks in the wall of the shower.  There were larger ones coming up from behind the night stand where the phone sits.  They refused to refund or even give a discount.  The floor was so dirty when I wiped with Lysol wipes I purchased the cloth was black.  The sheets stunk, were dirty, and obviously had not been changed in a long time.  I took the pillow cases off and the pillows were yellowed with a horrible smell of old hair grease.  There were cracks in the walls where paneling was getting old and the bugs would crawl through them.  The customer service was horrible as well and they were of no help to me.  The manager Don Ward would not answer his phone 865-617-2151
