The room was extremely small and DIRTY. We’ve stayed here many years & it has steadily declined. The elevators are a pain to get up to the rooms. And most especially when they aren’t working, which is what happened when we were there. Had to be taken on the employee freight elevator to get up to the rooms. We will not be staying here ever again.
The gal that checked me in was efficient but had less than a warming personality..She did advise if the $150 deposit which will make it back to my account in a week or so.
I found my way through the maze to a wonderful room. Spacious very comfortable bed, Xtra blanket, good lighting lots hot water and a properly sloped tub for a relaxing bath.
I went back down to the desk to ask if there was a restaurant I could have a beer and a quick snack. The reply was "I don't know". Ask the bartender if you can food and eat it there, and she went back to her phone.
Rather than work the .aze to find an expensive beer and another maze to find a to go burger I opted for food I'd brought in my room.
I am not a gambler so the maze of slot machines did nothing for.me. I needed an affordable room in this area. I managed not to get lost and would return to for the comfort of the room and to walk the narrow hillside streets. Raining this trip.
Dirty sink in room to which I informed front desk about. They did nothing. Offered nothing. Just ‘noted’ it in comments about our room/stay.
At 2 am when turning in for the night, after a long day we discovered that the sink did not drain. Tried to find a fan to circulate the air and found the control screen unattached to the unit.
When we checked out and relayed all the issues with the room I was told clearly that all my unhappiness could have been avoided had I called the front desk and let them know. They would have sent someone. Really? Someone knew that sink was not draining the last time it was cleaned AND I did let the front desk know shortly after check in. There was no offer to clean it. The control panel for the air was removed by someone!!!! They should have reconnected it then. I could have called but at that hour I really didn’t want workmen in my room for work that should have bee ln addressed before I got there.
The place needs work. Our room had a damaged sink drain but the shower was great. There's some drywall damage in our room at the entry door and behind the bathroom door.
The man who checked us in was very kind and knowledgeable. Clean bathroom and soft bed, which is the only thing I usually look for in a hotel.

The room was spacious and well laid out. However, I was unaware of a $150 deposit at check-in after booking and paying for the room. Also, the room had not been vacuumed or dusted. The next morning we wanted to have their breakfast special but they didn't have any cooks so after letting managers know of the situation, the gave us $15 each to by deli sandwich that were overpriced $7 and already prepackaged. The location is a few blocks from Central City (going up hill) and only one tram was available on the half hour. This was not a reflection of the hotel but does impact your getting around. So I would not recommend staying here.
