Its a warm cozy motel on the trans canada highway. The owners are very friendly. The property is huge and there's a beautiful well-tended garden behind the rooms. The whole place gives a very peaceful vibe.
We booked a room for 5 people on Expedia totally expecting that the 5th person would have to cram into a sofa bed. The room we were given totally exceeded our expectations. It was more like an apartment with two rooms, one with two queen beds and one with a huge king bed. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and an iron board, essentially all the amenities you would need for a short stay! The owners are in the same property so they are available all the time.
Overall a good place to stay while travelling up north. Thanks Jagan Bhai and family!
Even though the furnishings are dated, it is a very clean, comfortable and large room and bathroom. If traveling on Canadian 17 again, I would definitely stay for an overnight. The host is very kind and helpful.
An older facility right on the road in a very small and isolated town. Interesting observation that there were no sink stoppers for the bathtub or the bathroom sink. Not quite sure why.
Probably the best roadside motel I've ever stayed in. Very comfortable room and bed with great facilities provided, even a kettle which is extremely rare in Canada as most places just provide coffee machines these days. Restaurant was not open yet (it is May) and there is nothing else there.
