This brand new (2021) four-bedroom, three-bath/one half bath home is truly one of the most treasured properties featured within the gates of Wild Dunes. Constructed in 2021 by one of Charleston's top builders, 17 Marsh Island offers dozens of features that your family will treasure. One of the most special features of this home is the exterior looking towards the beautiful tidal marsh, Morgan Creek, and the Intracoastal waterway. Each of the two decks are teak-style wood, which will remind you of an ancient sailing ship that once frequented Charleston Harbor just a few miles away. Comfortable seating surrounds the deck, which will make it difficult to leave to venture out to the beach. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, the exterior of 17 Marsh Island Lane is truly a treasure where your family can spend an entire week without leaving.
The interior of 17 Marsh Island Lane is equal to the beauty offered outside looking out over the famous Charleston marsh grasses. The interior of this home is spacious, with high ceilings, wide staircases, and wonderful sitting areas. The lower level features a master suite, expansive living area, custom kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen treasures include stainless-steel appliances, a large stainless-steel refrigerator, a walk-in pantry, and plenty of room to entertain as you prepare the night’s gourmet meal. The living room is well-designed, and comfortable and offers incredible views. Finally, the master suite will provide the ultimate in comfort with a king bed and large bath.
The top floor features three bedrooms, including a second master suite. This master suite has a king bed and incredible views of the famous Charleston tidal marsh with a wonderful private bath. The kids will love the bunk room, which features two sets of built-in bunk beds (twins). An additional guest bedroom on the upper level has two twin beds. The bunk room and twin bedroom share a full bath. Exquisitely decorated by one of the best designers in Charleston, each room is special and unique. There are hardwood floors throughout 17 Marsh Island Lane.
Within walking distance of the home are the community playground, Harbor Golf Course, and four restaurants located within the Grand Pavilion/Sweetgrass facilities. Beach access can be found walking between the Sweet Grass Residences and the new Sweet Grass Hotel. 17 Marsh Island Lane offers the privacy of the back side of the island with the convenience of being within walking distance of the terrific community amenities, the best of both worlds.

Weather and beaches were fantastic, short drive for a Charleston day trip. House is absolutely beautiful and was ideal for a girls trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Amazing property. Beautiful views. Would recommend a golf cart to get to the beach if you need to haul kids. Also, the steps are not great gramma friendly (shes 97 but of course my house front steps are tough for her too). The kitchen was great...they really have all you need for cooking.

Our family of 8 very much enjoyed this home and our week at Wild Dunes. The only negatives were the lack of a place to clean off the sand from the beach. We normally enjoy an outdoor shower after the beach, which there wasn't and no good place to clean anything except for the hose that was at the back in the mulched area. There were no entry rugs either but when we requested them, they were promptly delivered. We were also very disappointed in the new policy that Wild Dunes has about not selling amenities passes to renters outside of their own rentals. We would normally rent a house with a pool but thought that we could use the community pool. Renting through VRBO at Wild Dunes means you can not use the tennis courts or pool. Due to that, I would probably not rent in Wild Dunes unless I rent direct with them.
This house was just as advertised on VRBO. So beautiful, clean & with plenty of space for our family of 5. Close to activities (beach, shopping, downtown, grocery, restaurants, etc)as well. We had a great time!
We have stayed in a ton of different places within Wild Dunes property but this one is definitely on the top of the list! The views are amazing throughout the day. There was plenty of room for everyone in our family to have their own space but nice and cozy when we were all together. Excellent property!
