The Dorm Hotel offers its guests gift shops/newsstands, tour/ticket assistance, and coffee/tea in a common area. Public spaces have free WiFi. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. The business-friendly The Dorm Hotel also features a fireplace in the lobby, laundry facilities, and a front-desk safe. Limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The dorm hotel needs to secure their exterior garbage. Rodents and squirrels have eaten thru the plastic trash can lid. If a guest is entering the property thru the compact car space, squirrels exit the garbage can and feel threaten and cornered. This is not unique to the Dorm Hotel, but a systemic problem across Ithaca with plastic lids for cans and dumpsters. If rats cannot feed, rats cannot breed.
Comfortable bed, very new, very clean. Great in-room amenities such as casting from your phone to the tv screen. But not as much hotel service. Grab-n-go, but no actual breakfast. People who run it are very nice.
The hotel is very close to the west campus. Walking distance to Collge Town restaurants. The room is very spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are small but take care of your needs. Very clean, tidy, newly renovated with thought and care to modern needs, capitalize on technology to provide extra comforts.
This is at least my fifth stay at this hotel. Location is great and to have offstreet parking is unusual and great. People are always lovely. The rooms are often not super clean (mine had a half a pot of cold coffee this time and dirty counter and table surfaces). This time - it also smelled super chemically - as thought they use unstoppables or like product. Really awful for an asthmatic. The also have a bad back and the mattress is good - but I. Top of a wooden support is not OK for four nights. I really loved it when it was super affordable. Not sure itâs worth similar prices to the Statler Hotel. Lastly - asked for trash removal daily because cooking food. Came once in four days. If thereâs a kitchenette - remove the trash daily.
