Get out of the city getaway.

Great place to relax. Near town, quiet and peaceful with everything you need. Little things like the vinyl record player and telescope made it even better! Stairs are a little steep and the well water has a bit of an odor, but nothing that would keep us from planning to return to this great place.

Charming and Cozy

We enjoyed a long weekend at this charming and cozy A-frame. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make breakfast. We especially enjoyed eating on the small patio overlooking the pond and listening to the vinyl collection. Julian's Main Street was a 3 min drive away and Nickel Beer Brewery was a short walk across the street. The host was helpful and responsive. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic VRBO property, and I can't recommend it enough! The host made sure everything was perfect. The house was well maintained, clean, and exactly as described in the listing. The furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true home away from home.The location was ideal and had a peaceful view of the pond. Close to all the attractions I wanted to visit. While the town was within walkable distance and bikes on the property for us to use, it was snowy conditions and too cold to walk so we drove instead.The kitchen was fully equipped and the outdoor picnic table was a wonderful bonus, perfect for our meal in the sun facing the pond. Communication with the host was seamless; Jason was responsive, friendly, and offered great local recommendations. We enjoyed walking across to the Nickel Beer Co. which had amazing beer, ciders, family friendly and very friendly people and staff.There were E-vehicle chargers at the local library and 2 free Tesla chargers at the Orchard Inn (free before 5 pm). We walked the town and ate at Julian Cafe while our car was charging.Overall, this stay exceeded all my expectations, and I would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend this VRBO property to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located getaway!

Fantastic Secluded location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jason’s rental. The location was great everything was about 10min away or less. We could even walk to places if you wanted to. There was a cool back area where we would walk each morning. And a cool brewery right across the street called Nickel Beer. The stars are unreal at night even from the patio . We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you Jason!

This cozy cabin has everything you could possibly need. And, as an added bonus, it is right across the street from Nickle Beer Co and just a short walk to Downtown Julian. The host is extremely responsive via text but does not bother the guests.

Great getaway apartment for a couple!

Great little place for my wife and I to get away and relax. Had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Close to downtown. Clean. Cute. Quiet. We enjoyed spinning some records on the record player. Blast from the past with all the old vinyl. Liked the coffee set up. Will definitely try to go back.

Julian Retreat

We spent 3 nights here in order to hang out in Julian/Cuyamaca for a while. The unit was as advertised and was comfortable and convenient for our purposes. Being across the road from Nickel Beer Company didn't hurt either. We wanted to be able to go into Julian during the week without the crowds and just hang out. This was perfect for that. While it is possible to walk into Julian from the unit, there really isn't a sidewalk along the highway so we chose to drive. Jason, the owner, was responsive to text messages and gave us all the information we needed up front. The only thing I would say to anyone considering staying here is to be prepared for going up and down the stairs. If you're over a certain age or have small kids, this might be a challenge as there is no other way to access the unit. All in all, a good stay and would recommend.

Perfect Stay

This was a great little space for our stay. It's deceiving in size, it feels much bigger inside than what it appears from the outside. All check in instructions were very clear, along with the directions to the location. Jason, the owner communicates very clearly and it is so appreciated. We had absolutely no issues. We went went for Christmas and our kids had a blast, they are already asking about coming again. The location is very convenient. It's at the eastern side of Julian's Main Street, so you are very close to all of the tourist portions with out being totally in the mix of people/traffic.

Great stay in Julian!

This was the perfect place for us for our first time in Julian! The home is well put together and perfectly organized for incoming guests. The coffee station and guide book of Julian were very nice touches! Definitely will be back!

We experienced amazing hospitality! The place was clean and very cozy-plenty of blankets and pillows, games to play, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Even a telescope- kids were stoked about that! The coffee station was fully stocked; husband was very happy about that one. They even had bicycles available for cruising around town. Jason thought of everything!

Quiet, cute space. Close to Main Street

This was a perfect space for my husband and I. It provided us with everything that we needed. Jason, is an excellent host and I really appreciated his communication and his availability and you cant beat the location!

Great little place!

My family really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! There was adequate kitchen supplies and ample bedding, pillows, etc. We also enjoyed the games and record collection! The location across from nickel beer co and a 15 min walk to town was perfect! The place was clean, and the host checked in a couple of times to see how we were doing. All and all a great vacation spot!

Everything was great and cozy. The only issue was where we had to park, around the back area. We arrived towards the night time, and due to it being pitch black, need to be careful not driving in a bug dip, which needs to be covered. Luckily we saw it in time to use other pathway.
